Calling all four-legged food truck fanatics! Across the U.S., food trucks are serving up treats just for dogs, but for furry “pawtrons” and their hungry humans, these eight food truck parks are a great place to enjoy a meal together. With local brews and bites, as well as many dog-friendly events, these snack wagons are sure to get Fido’s tail wagging!

During your dog-friendly weekend in Savannah, why not “pawse” in the Starland District for some food truck fun? In addition to more than 20 trucks rotating weekly, Starland Yard is the permanent home to Chef Kyle Jacovino’s Vittoria Pizzeria, as well as Nixtate, Uncle June's and Yard Bar. Leashed dogs are welcome to join you at the large picnic tables or on the patio. Also serving as an event venue, Starland Yard regularly hosts live music on their stage and a Yappy Hour in partnership with the Savannah Kennel Club and Critter Sit Doggie Daycare.

After dinner, consider crashing at this one-bedroom apartment near Forsyth Park, which features a fenced yard and allows four-legged guests of any size.

Truck Yard Alliance is a divey beer garden featuring eclectic, nostalgic decor. Its large outdoor seating area, which is partially covered and heated during winter, invites its pup patrons to sample food from a rotation of local Fort Worth vendors. Not only do they boast live music every evening, but they also regularly host dog events, such as costume contests, little dog races and adoption fairs in partnership with the local humane society. Many of these events include “pawsome” prizes like gift baskets and custom doggie tags. Truck Yard Alliance also features an on-site dog park complete with faux grass and fire hydrants.

After a night out on the yard, rest your paws just down the street at the Hyatt Place Fort Worth-Alliance Town Center.

Hungry Hartford hounds are sure to enjoy a visit to GastroPark, which not only features food trucks, but also a bar, bakery and coffee shop. The outdoor seating includes picnic tables, where leashed pups can snack from a selection of permanent and rotating trucks serving up everything from ice cream to lobster. With events such as costume contests, photo pup-ups, doggie trivia and GastroBark nights, Fido will be begging to return!

While in the area, let Fido loose at nearby West Hartford Dog Park, then catch some z’s at dog-friendly Delamar West Hartford, which offers a welcome bundle of treats, pet beds, and bowls at check-in.

It’s “Pups on the Patio” season at Improper City, a warehouse-style taproom and coffee bar with a regular food truck rotation including tacos, sushi, Greek eats and more. Well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome on the patio for a freshly brewed water bowl. Improper enthusiasts can even grab “Impupper” leashes and collars made from recycled materials. Be sure to keep an eye out for pet-centric events, such as Pups and Pints or the Denver Puppy Pawty.

A weekend in dog-friendly Denver would be incomplete without a stay at The Kimpton Hotel Monaco Denver.

In addition to the rotating line of trucks serving grilled cheese, pizza and crab, they also offer a house menu, which includes their famous boozy slooshies. Their themed events, such as Mutts & Mimosas or Dog Days of Summer, often feature a bone bar for Fido to order up his own round of dog beer.

Afterward, bring your boozy pooch back to this Cozy Home in the Heart of Ferndale, which features a fenced backyard.

Fido will be begging to visit Lakewood Truck Park! Just ask Tina, the food truck park’s resident Pug mascot. She’s even been known to throw barkin’ parties celebrating her birthday and National Pug Day, in addition to regular Yappy Hour parades. Fido can join you at one of the outdoor picnic tables underneath an umbrella. Keep an eye out for their rotation of local trucks with names your pooch will enjoy like The Dawg Bowl and Meatballer. Some trucks even include pup cups and barkcuterie boards.

Lakewood Dog Park is nearby to burn off the pup cups, as well as this 2-bedroom home with a fenced patio in the backyard.
