New Pet-Friendly Hotels: January 2024

The first month of 2024 brings six hotels that are opening their doors to furry guests for the first time. From upstate New York to coastal Georgia, Fido can rest his paws at these newly pet-friendly accommodations across America this month.

Hotel One75

When passing through Central New York, the pet-friendly Hotel One75 offers cozy accommodations in the charming town of Hamilton. Canines receive bowls, bandanas and toys upon arrival. Newly renovated rooms and suites include separate sitting areas with pullout sofas, workstations, mini refrigerators, high-speed internet and flat-screen televisions. Dig into a complimentary continental breakfast each morning, play a variety of games in the courtyard and warm up in the outdoor fire pit lounge.

If the weather cooperates, head down the road to Good Nature Farm Brewery & Taproom for refreshing craft beer and tasty tacos. Leashed pups are permitted in the beer garden.

Hotel One75 accepts dogs of any size for an additional fee of $75 per pet, per stay.

JW Marriott Nashville

Four-legged crooners will sing the praises of JW Marriott Nashville when visiting Music City. Spacious rooms and suites feature contemporary decor, floor-to-ceiling windows, writing desks, minibars, and marble bathrooms with rain showers and double vanities. Guests can dine in the on-site steakhouse, exercise in a 24/7 fitness center, rejuvenate in the full-service spa and soak in amazing city views at the rooftop swimming pool.

Only a few blocks away, Gulch Dog Park provides fully fenced sections for large and small pups in the heart of downtown.

JW Marriott Nashville welcomes a maximum of two dogs up to 50 lbs for an additional fee of $100 per pet, per night.

Birmingham Tree House

Furry travelers can climb into comfort at Birmingham Tree House, a boutique hotel housed in an 1898 Victorian mansion. Colorful, nature-themed rooms adorned with local artwork are equipped with hard surface floors, sitting areas, free WiFi, microwaves and coffee makers, and private bathrooms. Make new friends in the family room, sign up for a yoga class and conduct business in a quiet meeting room.

Take a short drive to Slice Pizza & Brew and grab a table on the dog-friendly patio, complete with a fireplace.

Birmingham Tree House accepts dogs up to 40 lbs for an additional fee of $40 per stay.

Kimpton The Forum Hotel

Kimpton The Forum Hotel blends Jeffersonian-style architecture with contemporary luxury to create an eclectic haven for canines and their owners. Elegant rooms contain living and dining areas, private terraces and balconies, and refined bathrooms with walk-in showers. Savor farm-to-table dishes at the on-site restaurant, work out in the fully equipped gym, enjoy a drink at the evening social hour and borrow a Kimpton public bicycle for a cruise around town.

Stroll over to the nearby Great Outdoor Provision Co. and browse the selection of camping and hiking supplies. Leashed pups are welcome inside the store.

Hampton Inn Corinth

Located halfway between Memphis and Huntsville, the dog-friendly Hampton Inn Corinth is a comfortable stopover for road trippers traveling across the deep south. Settle into rooms outfitted with chaise lounges, work desks, free WiFi access, coffee makers and streaming flat-screen televisions. Take advantage of first-rate amenities such as complimentary hot breakfast, lobby pantry, on-site fitness center and outdoor swimming pool.

Head downtown to Pizza Grocery and choose from a menu of specialty pies. Dogs are allowed in the outdoor seating area.

Hampton Inn Corinth accepts a maximum of two pets up to 75 lbs for an additional fee of $50 per stay.

The DeSoto Savannah

Nestled in the city’s historic district, The DeSoto Savannah embraces pups with a heavy dose of Southern charm and hospitality. Bright, airy rooms feature hardwood flooring, sitting chairs, work desks and private balconies offering panoramic city views. Dine on chef-inspired cuisine in one of three on-site restaurants, schedule a soothing spa treatment and relax with a drink in a rooftop poolside cabana.

Leashed pups can explore 30 acres of oak tree-lined pathways at nearby Forsyth Park, home to the city's renowned Parisian-style fountain.

The DeSoto Savannah welcomes one dog up to 35 lbs for an additional fee of $150 per stay.
