New Pet-Friendly Hotels: June 2023

June brings six hotels that are opening their doors to furry guests for the first time. From the Las Vegas suburbs to the Long Island Sound coast, Fido can rest his paws at these newly pet-friendly accommodations across America this month.

Aloft Henderson

Four-legged gamblers can escape the glitz and glam of the nearby Las Vegas strip at the brand-new Aloft Henderson. Pet beds, bowls and treats are available in cozy rooms equipped with modern conveniences such as hardwood laminate floors, high-speed internet, mini refrigerators, flat-screen televisions, complimentary bottled water and rainfall walk-in showers. Work out in the 24/7 gym, go for a swim in the outdoor pool and grab a drink in the lobby bar.

Fido can play off leash in the fully fenced Cactus Wren Dog Park, located within walking distance of the hotel.

Aloft Henderson welcomes one dog of any size for an additional fee of $50 per night.

Canopy by Hilton Chicago Central Loop

Furry guests are treated to dog beds, bowls and mats when they arrive at Canopy by Hilton Chicago Central Loop. Located in the thick of the city’s buzzing financial district, this modern hotel offers restful rooms that include spacious work desks, plush window seats, drawer refrigerators, walk-in showers and exciting city views. Take advantage of excellent property amenities like free WiFi access, an on-site restaurant and a 24/7 fitness center.

Choose from an array of classic American and British eats on the dog-friendly patio at the nearby Elephant & Castle.

Canopy by Hilton Chicago Central Loop accepts dogs up to 75 lbs for an additional fee of $50 per stay.

The Rex Hotel

Nestled in the heart of the Poconos close to Promised Land State Park, The Rex Hotel provides contemporary dog-friendly accommodations in a serene setting. Settle into apartment-style rooms featuring hardwood floors, separate living areas, full kitchens and private patios with grills. This non-smoking property also offers free parking and WiFi, and several trails perfect for walking Fido.

For a delicious dinner of classic American cuisine, head down the road to the Promised Land Inn, where leashed pups are welcome at outdoor tables.

The Rex Hotel welcomes a maximum of two dogs of any size for an additional fee of $35 per pet, per night.

Elwood Hotel & Suites

Located in the Horse Capital of the World, Elwood Hotel & Suites proves that horses aren’t the only four-legged friends celebrated in Kentucky. Canine travelers receive yummy treats, water bowls and comfy beds at check-in. Retreat to bright, spacious suites furnished with stylish decor, hard surface floors, microwaves and mini refrigerators, and HDTVs. Dine on hearty comfort food in the on-site restaurant before burning some calories in the fully equipped fitness center.

For outdoor fun, drive two miles to The Arboretum State Botanical Garden of Kentucky. Leashed pups are allowed on the Walk Across Kentucky paved trail.

Elwood Hotel & Suites accepts a maximum of two dogs up to 80 lbs for an additional fee of $75 per stay.

Very Important Pets will find an urban oasis at Thompson Dallas, a luxury getaway in downtown. Relax and unwind in upscale rooms and suites outfitted with eclectic decor, hardwood flooring, comfy couches, curated minibars, robes and slippers, and bathrooms with rainfall showers and soaking tubs. Enjoy fine dining in the on-site restaurant, exercise in a state-of-the-art gym, rejuvenate in the day spa, take a dip in the rooftop swimming pool and walk Fido on the 9th-floor dedicated dog run.

Pups can stretch their legs and make new friends three blocks away at Main Street Urban Dog Run.

Thompson Dallas welcomes one dog up to 50 lbs for an additional fee of $100 per stay.

The Homestead

The Homestead is the perfect boutique bed and breakfast for pet owners visiting the charming New England coastal town of Madison. Quaint rooms feature hardwood floors, cozy sitting areas, vintage record players, private baths with stall showers, and outdoor seating areas with Adirondack chairs and umbrellas. Guests can feast on a complimentary breakfast each morning, relax with a drink on the fire pit patio and explore the area on a complimentary beach cruiser bicycle.

The dog-friendly nature trails and bike paths at Hammonasset Beach State Park are only three miles from the hotel.

The Homestead accepts one dog up to 35 lbs for an additional fee of $25 per night.
