Entry Requirements
Complete the following entry requirements to travel to France with your pet:
- Four-legged travelers over 12 weeks should be microchipped to enter France.
- Pets must have a valid rabies vaccination. Visitors must wait 21 days between the last shot of the vaccination and departure.
- Obtain a health certificate from your endorsed veterinarian if you are traveling from the United States. Travelers from EU countries can use an EU Pet Passport in place of the health certificate.
- The following breeds are forbidden to travel into France unless they are registered by the American Kennel Club under special rules: Staffordshire terrier, American Staffordshire terrier (pitbulls), Mastiff (boerbulls), Rottweilers, and Tosa.
Quarantine Information
Pets traveling to France do not need to be quarantined if they meet all the necessary requirements listed above.
