Entry Requirements

Complete the following entry requirements to travel to Israel with your pet:
  • Pets must be at least four months old and microchipped to enter Israel.
  • Pets also require a rabies vaccination with a valid test administered one month afterwards to prove antibodies are present in the animal's body.
  • A health certificate from a licensed veterinarian in the country of origin up to ten days prior to the flight is also required. This certificate must state that the traveling pet has a microchip, is free of rabies within 12 months preceding departure and at least one month prior to arrival in Israel, has received a rabies antibodies blood test from an accredited laboratory, and does not exhibit any signs of infectious or contagious disease.
  • Contact the Ministry of Agriculture via email of your travel plans with a photocopy of the health certificate and blood tests at least two days before travel. You will receive a permit for travel back via email or information about missing information.
  • The following breeds require special written permission from the Head of Veterinary Services in Israeal before travel is permitted: American Staffordshire Bull Terrier (Amstaff), Bull Terrier, Argentinean Dogo, Japanese Tosa, Staffordshire Bull Terrier (English Staff), Pit Bull Terrier, Brazilian Fila, Rottweiler and American Bully.

Quarantine Information

Pets traveling to Israel do not need to be quarantined if they meet all the necessary requirements listed above.
