Entry Requirements

Complete the following entry requirements to travel to Jamaica with your pet:

Pets must be microchipped for entry into Jamaica.
Pet owners must complete a Preliminary Application Form (attached) and obtain a Veterinary Import Permit via email at vsdpermits@gmail.com.
Pets must be vaccinated against rabies more than six months and less than one year before travel. Be sure to bring a copy of the vaccination certificate with you. The certificate must show a post-vaccination rabies virus neutralizing antibody titre of at least 0.5 IU/mL between three months and twelve months before importation. The reports must be official documents English, contain the microchip and the date of the blood test.
Travelers with pets also require a veterinary Export Health Certificate, an Animal Landing Notification form and a Confirmation of Animal Arrival form.
Vaccinations or health checks are also required for Helminths and Tapeworm, Coccidiosis, External parasites, canine distemper virus, canine parvovirus, canine infectious hepatitis virus or; canine adenovirus type 2 (canine respiratory disease complex) and canine parainfluenza, Leptospirosis, Heartworm, Leishmaniosis, Babesiosis, Lyme disease and Ehrlichiosis, Brucella canis, Canine transmissible venereal tumor.

Jamaica is not affiliated with any international pet transport programs or pet passports. All pets should follow the importation requirements.

Pets traveling to Jamaica do not need to be quarantined if they meet all the necessary requirements listed above.
