Good location and hours
Midtown Mutts Dog ParkWe go to this dog park often; it is conveniently located and open from 7am to 11pm which makes it great when we both work late and it’s too dark to go walking in our neighborhood. The park itself has some issues - dirt collects in one spot making the fence low, the ground is covered in wood chips which seem to always get stuck in my dogs paw, and it seems that people camp out in it overnight as there is a fire pit that will occasionally have trash or ashes.
Quiet Downtown spot
Junction Coffee - the AlleyWe take our dog here once a week in the mornings. there’s usually not anyone out on the patio and the workers are always nice to us and make sure the dog bowl is full of water. it’s a nice place to have some quiet time and let my dog follow me around!
Favorite Dog Park
Pets & People Dog ParkBeen to several Dog parks around OKC and this is both our favorite. Not ever crowded, has an enclosed pond, lots of land, and is hidden away from the main road. The only dog park where my dog gets the zoomies even if there’s no other dogs. There’s an animal control that shares the property, and you can tell that people regularly clean the park. The only thing that’s bothersome is the poop stations are not functional so I have to remember to bring my own bags and then leave the park to throw them away. Totally worth it though.
