We made it work
Iron Bay Restaurant & DrinkeryAlthough this was less than ideal, we made it work. We “hitched” our dog up and requested a table nearest to where we could see him. Then we moved our table to the edge of the patio’s half wall, which allowed us to see, touch and talk to our dog. He had lots of walker’s stop to say hello, so he was pretty happy. But he barked when he realized he couldn’t be right near us and it took him forever to relax because of ALL the foot, bike, scooter and car traffic RIGHT in front of him. I wouldn’t have stayed if we couldn’t see our dog from our table. There’s simply too many families walking by and I’d have been worried not to be able to supervise his interactions with kiddos.
To me, this isn’t a dog-friendly place, but we made it work, the staff was nice and the food was great. I wouldn’t eat there with our dog again, however.
