Great Fish Taco’s

We went at 4 pm on a busy summer Saturday and were able to get seated with out 2 dogs right away. We sat at a picnic table in the shade and it was very nice. We had our own bowl for our dogs and were brought a big carafe of water for them. The absolutely had alcohol and I enjoyed a nice beer. The blackened fish taco’s were some of the best I’ve had. A guitar player was setting up and it was too bad that we couldn’t stay long enough to hear him: Overall it was a great experience.

Mediocre

I’ve been here with my dog a few times. he is a large dog and I think there area is on the small side. i did not have any issues with the people or dogs. The one thing that really annoys me is that Wantagh Park has a beautiful paved walking trail by the water. However, even leashed dogs are not allowed on the trail. if dogs were allowed on the trail I’d give the park 5 stars.

5 Bone Potential

Overall I really enjoyed my experience at this park. I only gave it 4 bones for two reasons. It’s expensive- $15 is way too high, and they don’t want the dogs on the beach anymore. Why??? why can’t dogs go on the beach??? There are not enough places for them to swim——even though we live on an island. Makes no sense to me. I’d gladly pay the $15 if my dog was allowed a swim. The walking trails are lovely and well maintained.
