Huc-A-Poos is Dog Friendly!
Huc-A-Poos Bites and BoozeDogs are welcome both outside and inside the bar area that's screened in, making it almost "indoor-like." The staff is friendly and the pizzas are huge. This is a fun place to bring your dog!
North Beach Bar & Grill is Dog Friendly!
North Beach Bar & GrillThey love dogs, have amazing food, and the margaritas are the best I've ever had. All tables have some shade.
Staff love the dogs!
The Purple OnionWe felt nothing but love from the staff towards our two pups. The outdoor seating was shaded, but they can also enclose and heat it in the cooler months. We had their seafood special, pizza and olives; everything was delicious.
Great spot for a cup of coffee with Fido!
Smelly Cat Coffee House & RoasteryAn outdoor walk-up window makes it convenient for guests with dogs to order instead of the pup needing to wait outside alone. Cute, outdoor, dog-friendly seating, too! And the coffee is delicious.
The Olde Pink House is dog friendly!
The Olde Pink HouseGreat location right in the middle of the historic district of downtown Savannah. The food is excellent and they have dog-friendly tables outside along the sidewalk.
Angry Ale's Loves Dogs!
Angry Ale'sThey have a huge patio with room for pups to spread out. Our server was quick to bring water without being asked. The dog menu includes burgers, bacon, grilled chicken and pup cups! And their regular menu has some delicious offerings. Our table had sliders, tacos and onion rings, and everything was great.
Fun times!
WTZQ's Tails in TownThis is a big local event with lots of vendors, demonstrations, and pet activities throughout the day. Our Charley had so much fun the past few years attending this great event!
Treasure Coast Cruises is a FUN Dog Friendly Activity in Vero Beach!
Treasure Coast CruisesWe've taken this tour twice now and it's worth every penny. Captain Kirby is a great tour guide and very knowledgeable about the area. You'll see waterfront homes, beautiful nature settings, and most fun of all - the dolphins! Our dogs were welcome with open arms. They enjoyed the breeze and loved watching the dolphins and birds. Our group consisted of people from 30-something-years old to 80-years old, and everyone had a great time. You're welcome to bring your own beverages - we chose champagne - with plastic glasses. Definitely a must-do when visiting Vero!
Fun Day
Strut Your Mutt 5K & 1-Mile Furry Scurry and Pet FestivalThis is such a fun event with the pet fair happening at the same time!
Tybean is dog friendly!
Tybean Coffee & Art BarA cute, outdoor coffee shop that offers only outdoor seating and welcomes dogs. There are resident cats who roam around so beware if your dog doesn't get along with felines. The coffee drinks and delicious, as well as the chocolate chip scones and tater tot burritos!
17-Mile Drive is Dog Friendly!
17-Mile DriveRent a bike with a side car for dog from Mad Dogs & Englishmen Bike Shop and take Fido on an unforgettable ride on 17-Mile drive! It was a bucket list experience and we loved every minute of it.

Relaxing Fun with Fido at Rising Silo Brewery
Rising Silo BreweryWe spent the afternoon and tried a beer flight along with their soft pretzel. They have a huge outdoor space with plenty of room for people and pups to spread out, and to walk around with your dog. Staff was friendly and welcoming. We'll be back!
Visit Annually - We Love OHI
Olde Harbour InnWe stay here with our pooch every Christmas. They provide a doggie bag at check-in filled items like locally-made dog treats, toys, waste bags, and a listing of dog-friendly activities and restaurants. The dog-friendly rooms are located on basement level but your view is of the riverfront which is pretty. The rooms also have kitchenettes complete with refrigerators. Dogs cannot be in the lobby/dining area but you are welcome to leave your pup in your room unattended if you need to go somewhere without him. They offer special "do not disturb" door signs so that staff know you are not there but your dog is inside. There is a large grass area that is street-level for your dog to do his business. For us humans, we love the wine & cheese hour each evening and the ice cream treats they leave in your freezer at turn-down service. Breakfast is an additional fee and buffet-style. The only thing that could be a negative is that the walls seem a little thin and you can sometimes hear dogs in other rooms & footsteps from above floor. If you are a light sleeper, or if your pup gets riled up from hearing other dogs barking, this may not be the best option. Otherwise, they are super dog-friendly and the location is perfect.
Very Fun Activity with Fido
Captain Mike's Dolphin Tours - Permanently ClosedWe all had a great time on this dolphin tour and our pup enjoyed the fresh sea air. I would suggest arriving early for boarding so that you can choose the perfect place to sit if you have a pup with you.
Redwood Valley Railway is Dog Friendly!
Redwood Valley Railway (Tilden Steam Train)Located about 20 minutes from San Francisco, this was a fun stop with our small dog. When we took the ride in August 2021, it cost about $3.50 per person and the ride lasted about 15 minutes doing a loop through the redwood trees and one tunnel. The staff were all very friendly to us and our dog.
Seven Magic Mountains is Dog Friendly
Seven Magic MountainsA beautiful, roadside artwork attraction in the middle of the dessert. Great photo opportunities with your dog!
Calico Ghost Town is Dog Friendly!
Calico Ghost TownWe thought this would be a quick stop just to stretch our legs, and we ended up being here for a couple hours! Dogs are welcome throughout the park including the shops, inside the saloon, and on the train ride. It was really fun and the staff could not have been nicer to us and our pup. There is also a restaurant with outdoor seating if you want to have a meal with Fido.
Dog Friendly Bravo Farms
Bravo FarmsNot only is there an enclosed dog relief area, but dogs are also welcome inside the shop with you!
Dog Friendly Paris Las Vegas
Paris Las Vegas Resort & CasinoWe spent two nights here and enjoyed our stay. Our pup received treats at check-in and the staff were friendly to us and our dog. Just like other hotels on the strip in Las Vegas, Paris LV is huge and it will take several minutes to get from your room to the pet relief area outside. We had no trouble finding the relief area after a quick phone call with the concierge for directions. Our room was clean and decorated nicely. Although dogs are not permitted on the casino floor, you can walk your pup through on what looks like the streets of Paris, along the eateries and shops. We would stay here again!
J. Christopher's in Savannah - Truly a Dog Friendly Restaurant
J. Christopher'sJ. Christopher's loves dogs! We have been here several times and our pups always receive a bowl of water and milkbones. We have two small dogs so we order them one Puppy Chow from the dog menu to share; it's more than enough for each of them and they split it up into two bowls for them. We've never had lunch here but the breakfast is delicious - some of the best French toast I've ever had.
Captain Derek's Dolphin Adventure - A Fun, Dog Friendly Tour!
Captain Derek's Dolphin AdventureThis was actually our third time taking our pups on Captain Derek's Dolphin Adventure tour. We have experienced both the daytime and the sunset cruise and have a great time each time we go! Our pups were scared at first because the boat is loud at times, but then enjoyed the breeze and people watching. We have seen dolphins every time but they have a policy in which they will give you another tour if don't see dolphins. Small dogs can be held on your lap or bench with you, and there is room for bigger pups, too, as they make sure not to overpack boats. Although the back of the boats are shaded, bring some water for your dog because it does get warm when your side of the boat is in the sun. And be sure to bring yourself some libations as well! It's fun to toast the beautiful sunsets on the Sunset Cruise.
Dog Friendly Cafe M in Savannah, GA
Cafe MLocated above River Street in the historic district, this beautiful little French bistro is great place to relax with your pup. Some of the tables are shaded by either umbrellas or the big oak trees. The breakfast sandwiches, coffee, and champagne cocktails are great and our dogs enjoyed people watching and getting bites of a fresh croissant. You can also purchase a lock here for the "love lock bridge" located right next to the restaurant.
Oliver Bentleys Historic Dog Walk Tour
Oliver Bentleys Historic Dog Walk TourOur pups had a pawsome time sniffing around historic Savannah, and we had a great time learning the history of the city and some of its squares. We've been on many tours in Savannah yet we still learned things we never heard before on this walking tour. It's also nice to have a tour guide who understands that having a dog along on a tour means stopping a lot to sniff and barking greetings at others. Eric and his dog, Abby, were great hosts and guides. And our pups appreciated the complimentary bag of treats after their long walk.
McDonough's is a Favorite Locals Pub
Mcdonough's Restaurant & LoungeOur pups love hanging out and people watching at this no-frills locals bar in the middle of the historic district. They have friendly staff, awesome fried shrimp and the best bloody marys in town!
Driftaway Cafe is a Pup Favorite!
Driftaway CafeWe always make a stop at Driftaway Cafe for dinner with the pups when visiting Savannah. The friendly staff loves dogs and they are welcome on the front and back patios - both of which are covered for shade - or the cute grotto area. The food is fantastic and some of the best we've had in Savannah. Try their fresh fish dishes, salmon BLT, and fresh salads. You can't go wrong with one of their desserts, too.
Clary's Cafe Loves Fido!
Clary's CafeWe eat here with our pups several times a year when we visit Savannah. The friendly staff love dogs and bring them water and treats. The restaurant is popular for it's mention in the infamous "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil" book, is a local go-to spot, and their homemade shrimp salad is amazing.
Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum
Trans-Allegheny Lunatic AsylumWe took our two 12-pound dogs on the 90-minute history tour with guide, Pip (who was very knowledgeable), and it was great. The property is HUGE and there is a lot to see and learn about - we even contemplated staying longer to take one of their other tours when we were finished with the history one. The tour went through a few different buildings and outside areas so it was good for the pups to have an outdoor break. There are lots of dark spaces and dark, narrow stairwells so be sure your dog would be OK in that kind of environment. They had fun sniffing all around and we enjoyed the unique experience.
Fun Weekend at Four Paws Kingdom Campground
Four Paws Kingdom CampgroundDog heaven! We spent the weekend with our two small pups in the Stella cabin. I'm not a huge fan of camping but this cabin made it feel more like "glamping" for me - I was really impressed with how nice it was. The cabin was well maintained and very clean with an equipped kitchen area, bathroom with shower, and TVs (although no time to watch!). We just needed to bring our own bedding and linens. It was nice having a covered porch and fenced-in yard for the pups to run around. We noticed the other cabins and a lot of the RV sites also had their own fenced yards. Plus, there are several dog parks along with two big ponds for dogs to splash around. Our pups were definitely wiped out from all the playing and exploring! The staff were super friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and you can always see them buzzing around on their golf carts. The camp store was cute with a "Bark Bar" area filled with a variety of dog treats. Human items, s'mores packs, camping supplies, firewood, and souvenirs are also available. And even though the campground is filled with dogs, it was super quiet at night - we're guessing all the dogs were tired from playing all day! We will definitely be back.
Our dogs love Lured Market & Grill!
Lured Market & GrillOur dogs love Lured Market & Grill! Located across the street from Lake Lure, they offer several picnic tables with umbrellas and "yard" games like giant Jenga, ladder ball, and cornhole. The picnic tables have leash clips and the market sells "pupsicles" which are a frozen treat (kind of like sherbert) in a small plastic cup, as well as locally made dog treats. Our pups shared a hot dog from the grill menu. Take note that the tables are located on pavement, not grass.
The staff are very friendly!
Friendly Staff & Yummy Food
HenDough Chicken & DonutsHenDough is a must-try while in Hendersonville! There are lots of outdoor tables, including several in the grass. Their food and donuts are made fresh daily. If it's raining, there are a few tables on the covered porch.
Guidon Brewing in Hendersonville is Dog Friendly
Guidon Brewing CompanyBeer for the humans, dog treats for the pups. Dogs are welcome inside and outside so you can visit no matter the weather. The deck is shaded for sun, and has heaters when it's cold. Our 2 doxies love Guidon! The beer is tasty and the staff are friendly and kind. Make sure to ask for a homemade dog treat at the bar.
Fun Fall Fun with Fido!
Layman Family FarmsWe had a fun afternoon on the farm. Dogs are welcome throughout the huge property including the corn maze. Our Charley checked out the farm animals (from a distance), helped us pick out a pumpkin, shared an apple blossom, and help lead us to the exit of the corn maze!
Great Spot to Chill and Right Off the Greenway
Hang 10 Hawaiian Ice & CreamLots of outdoor tables to enjoy your ice or soft serve dole whip with your pooch. They also had several water bowls outside for the dogs. Hang 10 is located just a few steps off the Roanoke Greenway in the Wasena neighborhood. A great spot to stop during your walk or bike ride.
Friendly Staff, Good Location
Best Western Hendersonville InnWe have stayed here multiple times with our pup. The dog-friendly rooms are located on the ground level giving you easy access to the grassy areas behind the building. Rooms are always clean and the staff are super friendly. Their free hot breakfast buffet is also really good (grab a piece of bacon to-go to share with Fido). They are located less than 3 miles from the historic downtown area that offers several dog-friendly shops and restaurants, and just a few miles from the "apple country" area of Hendersonville (including Grandad's Apples which is dog-friendly).
Good Wine, Friendly Service, Very Dog Friendly
Blue Ridge VineyardCovered and outside seating is dog friendly so you can visit no matter the weather during their season. Their property is HUGE with tons of space to walk and offers a variety of different seating areas with beautiful views. They sometimes have live music so check their website or social media pages for current schedule. Bring a picnic (and treats for your Fido)! Any tips the staff receives are donated to a local animal rescue.
Fun Tourist Attraction!
Dinosaur Kingdom IIWe only stopped to take some photos of our pup with the weird figures outside of the attraction. The owner was very friendly and let us know it was dog friendly. Our pup is a little guy at only 10 lbs and was not scared of any of the noises, but I can see how some dogs could be. The tour starts in an "old town" and then proceeds on a trail through the woods. It was definitely a weird experience but we had a lot of fun!
Charley Gives It 5 Bones
Starlite Drive-In Theater - Permanently ClosedWe love drive-in movie theaters and love them even more when we can bring our pup along! Great hot dogs, snacks and kind, friendly staff make this one even better. Charley Approved!
Great Experience
Beliveau Farm WineryWe visited with our pup in May and can't say enough good things about the staff and wine at Beliveau! They even have dog treats for furry visitors. The property is beautiful with tons of space for seating and to walk around. Although they have a lot of seating in different areas (patio, grass, gazebos, etc), we opted to bring our own blanket and have a picnic in the grass with our dog. You can't bring your own food, but they have a small menu with different items for purchase. If someone in your party doesn't like wine, they also make their own beer (and it's all gluten-free). We will definitely be back!
Good Food and Large Patio
Rockys Hot Chicken Shack- SouthWe like it here because the food is great and the outdoor patio area is pretty big and covered to keep you and Fido out of the sun or rain. Friendly service!
Local Hangout
Lake Lure Riverside Tiki Bar & GrilleThis is definitely a local hangout but we had a lot of fun. The server brought out water and bacon for our pup. The drinks were great and the bar was good. It's kind of a dive bar which we love and right next to the river. Seating is covered and heated in cooler months, fans in the summer.
Great Local Brewery
Southern Appalachian BreweryThis brewery is super dog friendly with a huge jar of dog cookies always on the bar and water dishes around. Food trucks are usually onsite or you are welcome to bring your own food (or have something delivered!). The live music nights are awesome as well as their Sunday gospel brunches. Friendly staff and great local brews!
Great Experience

A Gem!
The Brandy Bar + CocktailsThis a such a special place to experience! The owners are so welcoming and truly LOVE what they do! They have brandy flights and tons of different cocktails to try. Even if you don't like brandy, tell them what you DO drink and they can make some recommendations. Bourbon drinker? Try their brandy manhattan. Vodka drinker? Definitely try their smoother brandy martini with jalapeno olives!
Dogs are welcome at tables along the sidewalk or inside!
Wonderful Wine, Amazing Views
Point Lookout VineyardsThis is one the the best vineyards in the area with it's views for miles and miles ! Tons of seating and your dog is welcome inside or outside. The "indoor" space is an open, covered patio-like setting that has clear "walls" that can come down when it's cold outside. They usually have small plates (cheese, crackers) you can purchase or a food truck, but you are also welcome to bring your own snacks. We love going here with our dog!

Good Place for Bad Weather
Fork in the MarketIt was cold out today when we brought our pup, but they enclose their outdoor area with plastic flaps and have heaters on. So this is also a great place to go when it's raining or cold outside! Charley (our pup) had a plain hot dog.
Great people and venue!
National Dog Day Yappy Hour at Craft CentricThe staff at Craft Centric are friendly and love dogs. Dogs are welcome on the patio and also inside.
Great Stay!
Aloft Atlanta DowntownWe stayed two nights with our pup, Charley, and really enjoyed it. The staff gave him lots of attention! The hotel is very dog friendly and even allow the pups in the lobby and bar area (WXYZ Lounge). There are some grassy areas in the back parking lot for potty breaks. Pets currently stay for free!
Fun walk with your dog!
Krog Street TunnelKrog Street Tunnel is interesting to see and just a short walk through. Also provides a great spot for photo ops! It is safe to walk with your dog through along the elevated walkway with rails.
