No outdoor service due to weather…
von Trapp Brewery & BierhallWe stopped here for lunch and were disappointed to find out that the outdoor area was closed for dining due to the weather (it was in the upper 60s in August). I did see someone else mention this in one of the reviews as well so I would call and confirm that you can order the full menu outside before you go. I gave it 3 bones as we were still allowed to order beers and pretzels to take outside. I will say, as a pretzel lover, these weren’t the best. The beer cheese was excellent though! We still enjoyed the area and would love to try it again if it’s open.
Stop along the bike trail…
Idletyme Brewing CompanyWe grabbed lunch here a day on the patio. It’s a nice location right along the bike path that goes through the town of Stowe.
Accommodating
The Publyk HouseWe had been traveling all day and I was searching for dog friendly places in the area. It was cold and rainy but we wanted to find somewhere to eat outside because we had our dog with us. I called ahead to make sure this was even a possibility because of the weather. The hostess said she would set up a table for us and we were welcome to dine outside. They have a big patio but a small portion is covered so they had our table ready for us under the roof when we got there. We were the only ones dining outside because the weather was far from ideal and they still sent a waitress out for us and were very accommodating!
Very Pet Friendly
Sun and Ski Inn & SuitesWe stopped here for a night while traveling through the area and we were surprised to see that there was no pet fee. The back door of our room opened to a large grass area that was great for leaving the dog out and a stream behind it. The room isn’t the most updated as it could use a touch of paint here and there but it was clean and I would definitely stay here again. We didn’t get a chance to bowl as this was a quick trip but the bowling alley looked fun!
