Not very dog friendly

Visited Sunday Diner and was pleased with food and service but it is not very dog friendly. I brought my dog water and ordered him a hamburger patty. The did not want him eating at me feet. Tables are on narrow sidewalk and no room for dog to lay. Heavy foot traffic. He is a small Shih Tzu and I was told that he could not lay in the chair beside me. I would like to know exactly what they want me to do with him. It’s obvious to me that they are not very welcome. Someone else asked for water for his dog and was told to go to the hose on the side of the building. I visited twice today, my first and last.
