Decent stay
Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Kingman an IHG HotelDoing Route 66. Easy to get to basic room. No specific dog area, but plenty of grass around the building.
Great stay
Best Western TorchliteIt's older but adequate; only downside is not many outlets. Staff was SUPER friendly, gift baskets for both me and my Daisy. Tables and chairs out on the grass, so not a specific dog area, but more than adequate.
One of the best
Under Canvas Mount RushmoreDogs are allowed everywhere, even the restaurant, where they even have a "pup bowl" with a choice of chicken, beef, or bison, with carrots, and potatoes, fresh off the griddle (Daisy was in heaven). The staff is the nicest, friendliest I've ever had the pleasure to interact with. Yes it was expensive but worth every penny!
Nice place
AmericInn by Wyndham MitchellStaff was friendly, lots of grass around the building, basic room, decent breakfast.
Nice place
My Place Hotel - Rock Springs WYThey gave someone a key to my room as there was a computer error, we're all human and make mistakes. They were mortified and multiple people apologized, several times. They gave me a free breakfast (there's only coffee in the lobby) and the lady who checked me in apologized profusely upon checkout. The room had a full kitchen, and plenty of room for Daisy to go.
Not nice
Travelodge by Wyndham YermoThe carpeting made my white socks black, walking from the carpet to the tile it was sticky. Long black hairs in the sink and bathtub (I shave my head, so no way they were mine). No specific dog area. The shower mixer must have been broken, only scalding hot water came out, too hot to even take a shower. Had to use a wash cloth at the sink.
Nice location
Bayside HotelKind of expensive for a Midwest boy, but it IS in California. The king suite I was in had ocean view, full kitchen, it was a nice room, no area for Daisy to go, but lots of grass across the street, and down the hill from that little park area is the beach. The walk to the pier wasn't very long (had to get my final passport stamp from Route 66). Again, nice place just not used to that cost. There are other hotels closer to the boardwalk, and beach but they don't allow pets.
Nice place
Best Western Coral HillsThere is a small Astro turf area and a larger natural grass area. Room was big and clean, 2 pools, a nice hot breakfast available. Would stay again.
Typical hotel
Super 8 by Wyndham PontiacStaff was very nice, however the back door didn't close fully, and thus never locked. No actual place for Daisy to go, but plenty of grass around, though very few spots were cleaned up.
So so
Super 8 by Wyndham SullivanNot spectacular, but not bad. Staff was very nice. There was no set place for Daisy to go, but plenty of grass around the hotel.
Awesome place!
Roadrunner LodgeYou have to stay here to get the feel of Route 66! Awesome owners, clean and well kept with dedicated dog space. Would stay again for sure!
Quiet, clean
Fairfield Inn & Suites GallupPut me in a room next to the exit which was nice. Pool and hot tub not working. Room was clean. No place for Daisy to go, but space around hotel.
Very nice place
La Posada HotelGreat staff, awesome hotel on HUGE grounds. Lots to do and see at the hotel, including a museum, art gallery upstairs, croquet grounds, and HUGE place for dogs to go. They have a high end restaurant. Only drawback is I was on the 2nd floor and no elevator! Though staff was willing to help carry things for me. I had a lot of baggage as I make videos while traveling and being on the road for 3 weeks, it was a lot. However, I would stay there again not withstanding the no elevator.
Great place
Drury Inn & Suites Albuquerque NorthThe bad first. They put me on the 2nd floor, and there were only very small gravel areas where Daisy could go. Now the good. Room was clean, staff was very nice, dinner and a drink ticket, and breakfast was included!
