I had a delicious bacon cheeseburger, and even the manager came out to make sure that Mabel had everything she needed. This is easily the most pet friendly restaurant I’ve been to in Houston!

Stopped by Roadhouse in Bastrop with Mabel, our 110-pound Swissy. She loved her hamburger, and the staff even offered a pup cup with whipped cream and peanut butter—though I probably should’ve second-guessed that, given the mess she made! I had a bacon cheeseburger, which I enjoyed, and we both felt very welcomed on the patio, where the staff doted on Mabel. We’ll definitely make it a point to stop here each time we pass through Bastrop.

Took our Swissy, Mabel, to the Rusty Axe Brewing Company in downtown Lufkin and enjoyed dining alfresco. The staff were friendly and welcoming to our dog, and Mabel really enjoyed her hamburger. I had the ‘chicken and dumplings,’ but it was more like gnocchi with sliced vegetables and a light sauce—I’ll try something different next time. Overall, a good spot to bring your dog and enjoy a meal outdoors.

Took my Swissy, Mabel, to the Wet Deck Bar and Grill. It’s a very dog-friendly venue with a large, fenced-in patio and backyard area overlooking Lake Livingston. The informal beer garden vibe was nice, and the staff encouraged me to bring Mabel through the restaurant and even doted on her. I had the chicken wings, which were okay, but the cheeseburger looked like the better choice—I’ll try that next time. Overall, it’s a great spot if you’re looking for a relaxed place to bring your dog.

Took my Swissy, Mabel, to Bullet House Grill today, and it’s incredibly dog-friendly! They have a large sign welcoming dogs, and even offer a special entrée just for your dog (unseasoned ground beef with carrots and cucumbers). While dining, we saw five other dogs, which made for a fun, laid-back atmosphere. I had a burger this time and can’t wait to come back and try their wings on my next visit. Highly recommend for dog owners looking for a pet-friendly spot.
