This is a great place to take your pup if you are visiting Tuscaloosa. The entrance area includes large open fields for pups to play. If you keep walking down the path, you will come to a large pond where some people let their pups swim. If you keep driving through the gates down the gravel path, there are wooded paths to walk through with your pup.
*Dogs are supposed to be on a leash at all times. Fair warning; however, many people do not follow this rule, so if you have a dog that does not like to be approached by an off-leash dog, I'd recommend avoiding the large open fields and hiking on the wooded trails past the second set of gates.

We used to live a few miles from the area and there are lots of great trails for hiking with your pups. Park Rangers do patrol and will tell you to put your dog on a leash if you let them off leash, so make sure to keep them tethered. If your dog doesn't like bikes, the trails are used for mountain biking. Overall, love this spot!
*Do not recommend letting your dog drink or play in the water. During times of heavy rainfall, the water can be contaminated with sewage. (Look it up if you are skeptical; there have been swimming bans on the area.)
