Loved it
Huntsville State ParkThis state park is very dog friendly. We stayed in lot 22 which was away from the water (my little dog would make a tasty alligator snack). Everyone has their dogs leashed and cleaned up after them. Charleston (our 13 yr old Chorkie) made lots of new friends. The best part about this park was the volunteer host nicknamed Bullet and his 5 lb Chihuahua named Mitzie.
Awesome
Fort Lowell MuseumYou must see if in Tucson area. Our volunteer tour guide (Jane) gave us so much interesting facts in about 25 mins. They love having dogs and their parents. Dogs of all sizes are welcome to walk or be carried. Fort Lowell grounds and the museum exceeded our expectations.
Open space
Oscar Scherer State Park CampgroundWe really enjoyed this campground. I was nervous about having my dog anywhere close to where alligators could possibly be lurking. However, at this location I felt more comfortable. There was more open space and wider, cleared trails. Charleston (aka Mr. Man) really enjoyed stretching his legs, the new smells and of course peeing on everything. Haha
Beautiful room
Heidi Motel - HelenThe location is fantastic, room is beautifully decorated and very clean. Our dog walked in and felt right at home. Definitely recommend and will stay here again!
