We love this hotel and have stayed many times in the past two years. The hotel is very dog friendly and welcoming. Reasonable dog fee of $50 per stay. The hotel borders a bike path/hiking trail that my dog absolutely loves. There is also a pet area at the back of the hotel. Rooms are nice size and extremely clean. Hotel is very convenient to shopping and restaurants. A movie theater across the street. Culvers restaurant next door with outside seating.

We split our Nebraska to Michigan trip into two days (5 hour drives each). This hotel is exactly 1/2 way and on the beautiful Mississippi river. Very convenient to I-80. Staff very friendly at check-in. Room was extremely clean and well equipped with fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Lots of counters and storage. Wifi was good. We didn't use the pool but watched kids enjoying it. Plenty of doggy areas around the hotel. We walked down the hill on the sidewalk to a park bench overlooking the Mississippi and I-80 bridge. Breakfast was great: scrambled eggs, sausage links, breads, cereal, waffles and juice. It was very clean and organized eating area. Also liked how they served from 7-10 am. We will definitely stay there many times in the future. Our dog loved it too!

We arrived at the zoo just as they opened. We went straight to the Guest Service building to make sure that they had an open kennel. We were the 1st dog of the day and plenty of openings. We were led back to a very tiny utility room (or closet). The kennels or crates were stacked on one wall. Our first thought was our dog was going to have an absolute meltdown in here. I don't know what we were expecting but it wasn't this. The service rep took our contact info and promised to call us if any problems. We were also allowed to visit him and take him on pee breaks anytime. We ended up staying at the zoo 4 1/2 hours. When I went in to pick him up he looked so at ease and unexcited. There were four other dogs in the kennels. The other dogs were all barking their heads off. It was so nice that the zoo offered this service but I think I would rather pay a fee for a staffed doggy daycare.

We were so tired from our S.D. road trip and needed a place just for the night. The lobby looked pretty nice and updated. We were shocked by our room. It had a very strong odor as we entered. Our shoes stuck to the floor as we walked across the carpet. Not sure if the sticky, ripped carpet was causing the odor. There was mold around the tub. There were so many flies in the room. We actually slept with our clothing on. The a/c howled a loud skreech every few minutes. A dog in the next room kept scratching at the door. I don't think we got 20 minutes of sleep all night. When I showered the tub wouldn't drain and was up to my ankles in water. We should have just parked in a rest stop for the night. Don't even consider staying at The Dakota!

We absolutely loved our week at Roosevelt Inn. Our room was spotless clean when we arrived. It was equipped with a microwave and refrigerator which was a real plus. Plenty of parking in front and back of the hotel. Very convenient location within walking distance to everything in Keystone. Keystone seems like a good central location for everything we wanted to see in South West S.D. The (included) full breakfast bar was fantastic! We looked forward to it every morning. Coffee was available all hours. Staff was friendly and helpful. They had a very small dog area in the back. There is a dog park across the street. Rooms were so quiet that our dog never heard other guests coming and going. The whole town was very dog friendly. Highly recommend staying here if your traveling with your pet!!

We had a wonderful 10 day stay with our Doodle. Staff was great (especially Jennifer). Hotel was a convenient location. Plenty of stores and restaurants around. Kitchen was so nice and well stocked with pots, pans, utensils and plates. Very clean room and very quiet. Will definitely stay here again. Also a shout out to BringFido for contacting the hotel that we were bringing a dog.
