A wonderful place for dogs to swim in South Sarasota County. There are two small fenced areas up by parking, one for smaller dogs. It would be great if this park could be expanded in area, especially on the beach as it is a popular park. Owners could be better about cleaning up after their dogs. Dogs are well-behaved.

Squirrel Ridge Park is a great stop when in Gainesville. Lots of space to run with benches in the shade of large oaks for the humans. The rinse off area has 2 kiddie pools shaped like dog bones and are wonderful for cooling off hot paws!

A great place for a dog to take a dip in a creek!

This dog park is impressive with acres of open area to explore and lakes to swim in! There was a wide variety of dogs there as this is a popular park. There were many places for humans to sit and relax with views of the lake. Sadly, the hose for rinsing off was out of order. They would do well to add additional hoses to this area as this is a busy park. Definitely visit this park if you are in the area!

A nice, shady stop along I-29 to get out and run for a bit. Very friendly local dogs, well-behaved. There is an agility course and water provided. There is a hard pack trail with benches for humans throughout, good for walking laps.

Ocmulgee Brewpub has outdoor sidewalk seating and they are very dog friendly! They even went above and beyond and accommodated us as a thunderstorm blew through :)

Dogs are welcome on the patio but there isn’t a gate and you have to lift them over the 4’ fence. They are very dog friendly on the patio, just have limited access.

We enjoyed lunch here and sat in the shade on the patio. They were happy to provide water for the dog.
