My husband and I have an All-American mix that we rescued. Her name is Lucky.

The hotel was clean and dog friendly. They also offered free breakfast. The only complaint I have is the grassy areas where you can walk your dog needed mowing.

This was the perfect place for our pup and us. We did not leave the landing but once during our 4-night stay. There are many great restaurants there. Weather permitting, you can eat on the patios with your pup. I would take the dog for walks along Lake Tanycomo or down the promenade. I felt safe and she enjoyed it. Beware, the advertisement says there is a dog bed and bowls in the room, but they do not provide those. The staff is friendly and welcoming.

Happy Hollow receives a 5 from me because of the location. Across from the motel is the entrance to the mountain tower and walking/hiking trails. It is a short walk to Central Ave and the bathhouses. There are several eating spots that allow dogs. The motel is very simple with a retro vibe. Our room was small and the bathroom was tiny; however, it had everything we needed. We had outdoor table and chairs and a grassy area. It was peaceful except for the renovation going on next door at the historic Park Hotel. Overall it was a good place for us and our pup.

Even though we stayed in a room specifically for dogs, it was very clean. I saw no dog hair. The linens were fresh, no odor. The breakfast was decent and the staff was friendly.

It took us about 10 minutes while leisurely walking our dog to walk to the beach. There were plenty of restaurants nearby. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Walls are thin and the room could have been cleaner. A great place to walk the dog and a nice swim area.

Park Vista is a good place for dogs. Lucky was given two treats and the staff were friendly. The relief area for dogs is a bit small but understandable since the hotel is on a hill. Lucky and I came a little closer to a mama bear and her cubs than I was comfortable with. We quickly hurried away and they ignored us.

We enjoyed our stay at Hilton Garden Inn Orange Beach. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and well maintained. There were plenty of grassy areas to walk our dog; however, pets are not allowed on the beach. Lucky enjoyed sitting on the balcony.
