Shaded Dog-Friendly Trails
Chesapeake ArboretumQuiet, shaded, well-maintained walking trails offering a forest walk with plenty of birdsong and a small creek with several bridges to cross and observe nature. Small forest shaded garden and other activities as well. No restrooms but plenty of trash bins to dispose of dog waste.

Great (for Chesapeake) Dog Park
Chesapeake City ParkIf licensed, can use one of multiple fenced dog parks. Family friendly and dog friendly park offers plenty of sidewalks, grassy areas, shelters, pet-free kids play area, and a skate park. Some dog owners do not clean up after their family/pets; others do. Good as it gets in Chesapeake for open, spacey dog-friendly park! City seems to be interested in investing to grow park (2020+).
