Near Charleston Historical District
Homewood Suites by Hilton Charleston Historic DistrictWalking the dog at night was a bit scary. There is a vacant gravel/weed parking lot across the street. Otherwise not a lot of green space. Good breakfast and friendly staff. Especially the bartender. Allowed dog in bar area. I would pay to valet park your car for safety reasons. Nice size suites and very clean.
Okay stay
La Quinta by Wyndham Atlanta DouglasvilleRoom had the usual air freshener smell which is typical. There are places to eat all around the hotel. We just needed a place to sleep and order pizza in (raining) and get back in the road for 11 hours. Comfy bed. Breakfast was ok. It served our needs. There is a homeless element that hangs out in the area. Mostly harmless. The hotel allowed an elderly homeless woman to come in out of the rain for breakfast. My hats off to them for being KIND.
Great staff
Candlewood Suites New Bern an IHG HotelGreat reception from Michael, who was very nice. Room was large and hotel was recently renovated. There was a 7 Brew coffee place in front of hotel. Big area out back to let the pup run after being in the car all day. No breakfast though.
Good food and great service… ask for Carissa
Pier 14 Restaurant & LoungeCarissa, our waitress, was awesome! Bubbly personality and obviously loves animals! I had the flounder and it was superb. The drink I had ( can’t remember the name but it was also good). On the beach and the patio is very large as it is on this long pier. Carissa, keep that smile going!
Good location & amenities
TownePlace Suites by Marriott Outer Banks Kill Devil HillsLots of hotel guests with dogs. Decent hot breakfast which is included. Nice laundry facility. Very clean.
Reasonable and okay
Best Western Inn WinchesterMattresses need to be replaced. Two people roll to the middle. Reception was super nice. Mexican restaurant was handy across the street with patio for dogs -- food and margaritas were okay.
The MOST dog friendly hotel
Hilton Asheville Biltmore ParkWow. the staff, Kelly and Dana, were so nice to our two families and our two dogs. Even the people staying there were nice! The restaurant allows dogs during dinner. They allow you to leave the dog unattended which made visiting the Biltmore easy. Comfy beds!
Good stay near restaurants
Hampton Inn MuskegonGood hotel. Clean room, first floor near outside door and friendly staff. Olive Garden and Texas Roadhouse nearby.
Clean, fairly new
PINEMARK Inn Suites EventsGreat, great motel and super clean. This family-owned motel takes great pride in their establishment. breakfast was delicious with real silverware and dishes!!! Can’t say enough good things. Door to outside, fyi. Subway and Burger King within walking distance.
Easy outside access
Best Western River TerraceOld hotel; room was worn but bed was comfy. Ducks in canal that have been fed because they are friendly. Staff super friendly. Pup heard noises all night thru door.
Worn and noisy
Hampton Inn Port HuronOlder Hampton Inns have problems with sound thru walls and floors. Our Chih hears everything and on occasion barks. So if you have a barker, you may want to reconsider this hotel. Breakfast was good! Room was clean but worn. Front desk was exceptional!
Decent stay
Country Inn & Suites by Radisson Toledo South OHNot offered dog treats, our pup missed his treats. Hotel room was okay. Thankful they accept pets. We don’t expect luxury accommodations. Breakfast was better than usual. No coffee packets in our room. Had to go to front desk and ask for packets. Otherwise all good.
Great pet service
Country Inn & Suites by Radisson Cookeville TNNice lady at reception. She had a gorgeous service animal, standard poodle. Night clerk was also a rescue mom on occasion. Room was very clean and breakfast was adequate. Very good for the rate.
