We have stayed here on previous trips because it is dog friendly and affordable. The hotel does nothing special regarding your dog. There is a large dirt field for your dog to do its business. The room was clean but tight. To walk between the bed and the TV stand there was only room for 1 person so you had to "take turns". There was no bathroom counter so you had to keep your items elsewhere in the room. The heater sounded like a freight train but it did keep the room warm. We choose to stay here simply because of the cost.

As for dogs, hotel had jar of dog treats at check in desk. Our room had carpet, was clean and didn’t smell of pee or cleaning chemicals. We didn’t see poop bag station but a mindful pet owner shouldn’t rely on others for provisions. Small grass area adjacent to our room had a sign asking please keep pets off grass. Our dog doesn’t have to have grass so it wasn’t an issue. As for the human side of the stay, again having dog treats at check-in desk was nice and the clerk even offered them. The room was clean. Shower head was high so my tall husband didn’t have to crouch to shower. Bed was comfortable. Room had a king bed, sitting chair, desk, microwave, and small refrigerator. Our room was on the first floor and at the end of the building. The town of Beaver, UT has grocery store, restaurants, fuel, and more. Friendly place. Will stay again.

This was a quick trip to MI for us. This is best described as a "Mom & Pop" hotel. It is not a chain facility. The room we were in was small, 14 ft x 14 ft. The room was clean and the bed was okay but not super. The bathroom is very small, 9ft x 3ft. The toilet was to the left, the sink in your lap, and then a small shower stall next to the sink. The hotel is located adjacent to a lake so the evening walk was nice but do prepare for mosquitos. The pet fee of $20/night was affordable. This hotel was occupied by many construction workers so parking by our room was not the easiest since everyone was in a large pickup. There is a nice restaurant, Charlie's Lakeside, just a few feet from our room. It is not associated with the hotel. There was grass for the dog to do her thing. I don't know that I would go out of my way to stay here again, but it did meet our need and was affordable compared to everything else is the area which was not affordable for us.

We stayed here twice within a week. After our first stay, we knew it was the only option as we returned through Davenport, IA. First of all, the hotel was easy to find. As for dogs, we saw a variety of sizes and breeds so that's a positive. The room flooring is LVT, no carpet. The room had no chemical odors, was exceptionally clean and there is lots of grass outside for your dog. In fact, there was a large grassy area adjacent to our first floor room where we could let our pup play catch.
As for the human side, at check-in we received a welcome bag with a bottle of water and granola bar. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There is lots of parking, even for trailers, large RVs, etc. The location is near the highway but not adjacent so it is quiet. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom sparkling clean and the shower (no tub) had the shower head mounted high so my tall husband didn't have to crouch down and the floor was not slippery (something that as we have aged, we appreciate).
On the premises is a restaurant, Zeke's. Normally we avoid on-site restaurants like the plague but because of reviews we decided it was worth a try. WOW!!!! You have to eat here. The place wasn't busy and the waitress was fantastic. We ordered a shrimp scampi appetizer and it had a dozen shrimp. We shared an order of Caribbean jerk chicken tacos and had the sauces on the side not knowing if they would be too spicy. They were perfect. The tacos were spiced and cooked to perfection. We also shared a salad. The chef knows what he's doing. This place is amazing and is only open in the evenings. There is a bar with it. In summary, the accommodations are fabulous for dogs and humans.

As far as our pup is concerned, the stay was average. First, the pet fee said $20/pet, but I was charged $22. Not a big deal but might need to verify pet rate. The room was clean but scent markings from previous animals were not neutralized. Our pup is not one to constantly sniff at things but she found many scents to sniff in the room. The hotel did give us the option at check-in of a ground floor room or 2nd floor which was nice. The grassy areas around the hotel are all signed "no pets allowed." We did notice dogs of all sizes so apparently there is no restriction on size. There were no dog treats provided so just average stay.
As for the people side, the room was clean. The shower glass was so clean, it was almost as if it wasn't there (wish I could get mine at home that clean and clear). The bed was comfortable but the pillows were softer than I prefer. The hotel was easy to find and is directly across the street from a Walmart, a grocery store and several restaurants. It was also very easy to get back on I-40. The breakfast was kay --waffles, bagels, toast, cold cereal, yogurt and coffee. No eggs or other hot items. We would stay again if we were to be in the area because of the easy access and the businesses across the street.

From our pup's perspective--no grass, only weeds and rocks which normally isn't an issue for her but for some reason she seemed to fight back about going to any of the areas to do her business. The room looked clean but no pet neutralizer was used in the room which was evident from her sniffing everything.
From a people perspective, upon check-in the desk clerk told me to park on the east side saying my room would be right there. Well it wasn't. We found the room on the other end of the hotel so we moved the truck to be closer to the room. The room looked clean but we noticed a water stain on the carpet under the bathroom sink about 4" in diameter from some previous leak. The refrigerator in the room had been turned on so it was already cold. The bed was comfortable.
The hotel is easy to find and right next door to a Maverik gas station which was convenient. We wanted to get an early start upon departure so we did not check out the breakfast offerings. When I booked this hotel, the one I really wanted was sold out so this was the fall back. I would only stay here again if there was no place else available.

Since this website prioritizes dogs, I'll let my review start there. We saw dogs of all sizes so apparently there is no size restriction at the hotel. Our assigned room was on the 2nd floor where it also appeared to be the location of other dogs. This was not an issue for us, for some it might be. The room was part carpet and part tile, again not an issue. When we first opened the door to the room, the aroma of deodorizer was very strong but it dissipated in a couple minutes. The cleaning staff must use some neutralizer because our pup wasn't constantly sniffing everything in the room. Kudos to the hotel for that.
Also this is the first hotel we've stayed at that has a small off leash enclosed dog area. There is no grass in the pen, it is the desert after all, but there are paving stones, a nice picnic table, bushes, large rocks which our pup loves jumping onto, and a waste station. The best part of the pen is the cleanliness--no dog poop left behind by thoughtless owners. The pen is also lighted all night if you need to use it during the night.
Now onto the things important to people. I highly recommend using their early online check-in. It allows you to pay the pet fee in advance and makes check-in beyond easy. The couple in front of me at the desk took several minutes to complete check-in including having to run outside to obtain their license plate number. When it was my turn, having done the early online check-in, all I did was show my ID, obtain my room keys and done in 30 seconds. Very worth it when you've been on the road for over 12 hours.
During my check-in, I noticed the multiple security camera feeds on the desk monitor which added to a sense of security. As mentioned above, the room was clean, no pet odors. The bathroom was spotless. The shower head was mounted high enough my tall husband didn't have to "squat" to get his head under the shower head, something he has to do most places. I also appreciated the bulk bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash instead of the little sample bottles found most places. The bath towels were a nice size and absorbent. The bed was comfy, the couch was ok. The small refrigerator was the first one we've found that actually refroze our ice overnight for our cooler.
The swimming pool was closed for maintenance which was no issue and we didn't use the fitness room. The short encounter with the staff at the front desk was pleasant. She seemed helpful to others. The hotel is located just far enough from the highway to be quiet but easily accessed. There is also plenty of room for parking large trucks, RVs and trailers. The breakfast was typical hotel fare--scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits & gravy, waffle maker and the standard cold items. The coffee was drinkable but not great. (I admit we are coffee snobs.)
For a 1 night stay this hotel was leagues beyond expectations. The off leash area, the room that didn't smell of pets, the easy check-in, the large parking area. We will definitely use this hotel again on our return. Hoping it will be just as good a 2nd time.

The Hampton Inn in Jamestown, ND was fabulous. Upon arrival, first thing I noticed was the large grassy area out front where we hoped to play with our Aussie. (Unfortunately the weather was not as accommodating as the hotel). During check-in, I was provided treats for Onyx and they also provide a door hanger you are asked to place on the outside of your room that indicates the presence of a "fur baby." The check-in process was easy. We were put in a room on the 2nd floor.
Upon entering the room, the first thing catching our attention was the lack of odor--no past pet smells, even no cat odors (the hotel does accept cats I later learned), and no cleaning chemical odors. Whatever they use to clean the rooms I wish it was used in all hotels. Most of the time rooms smell of chemicals. The king size room provided space for Onyx to play quietly with her toys.
As for the human aspect of the stay, the ease of check-in, the odorless room, even the breakfast was spot on. The breakfast included little omelets, and the typical waffle offering had a twist--mini waffles. We're not fans of the typical hotel breakfast offerings but this was much better than expected. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout the hotel. The pet fee charged, $50 per night for 1 pet is steep and I normally would not select a hotel with such a high fee, but I am glad we chose to stay here.

The hotel was great. The room didn’t have any excessive disinfectant odors making us feel gassed. The room was very clean, great view of the ocean and easy beach access. Would stay here again.
