Driving between NorCal and SoCal this was an excellent stop for both doggos and hoomans. The room was big, there was potty spots all around the neighborhood, the bed was cozy, and the atmosphere pretty quiet. We all got a great night's sleep. We would stay there again in a heartbeat. Great layover on our trip home.

This is the second time we have stayed at this location in Bakersfield. It feels safe for those late night potty walks. The staff is friendly and even have dog biscuits at the check-in counter. The room is clean, the bed is comfortable. They have a good potty station on the grounds and there are several hotels on the street with grass out front (wink, wink). This place seems to be well known as pet friendly because we saw many doggos there.

First this is the pier district. Nowhere near the actual pier which is on the other side of the freeway. This is an old motel that has been renovated. It is clean and well maintained. The staff were nice and the breakfast was filling. Cozy bed. There is a city park directly across the street which made for good walks. Would definitely stay there again.

First the good. This was a clean, friendly place with dog beds and dog bowls provided. Coming out the front door around the corner to the right is a big dog potty area and some grassy hell strips a little bit further up. The neighborhood felt safe enough, even at the 10 pm and 5:30 am walks. (Let’s be honest that point is priceless and should be 5 bones right there.) The bad points that drop this to 4 bones. The room was very tiny. The whole wall window curtains were opaque and glowed with light all night. It was very noisy. Helicopters (yes plural), sirens, car alarms, all woke us up. And the valet parking was $60 plus tax and tip.

This hotel was a one-night stop. Our room was in the ground floor, near a door, with good potty spots close by. The room was pretty basic, staff a bit snooty, no ice on the ground floor and breakfast was $16 for a basic buffet. I just would like more for the not cheap cost of the room. Oh and the mattress was crummy and no coffee in the room. Nothing terrible, just a lot of meh.

We went for a couple hours. Beautiful trails, lively lake and picnic area. Our Aussies swam. There were lots of doggos and their people enjoying the lovely lake and rec area.
We spent 3 nights here and it was an excellent stop for us and our two Aussies. The dog park is very popular and we made lots of friends there. We stayed in K9 Korner so we were right by the dog park. Though there are potty stations throughout the resort. Lots of fun things for the hoomans too. Five bones for this lovely fun spot.

The doggos have to stay on their leashes the whole time you are in the park. We arrived in Twentynine Palms needing to run. Their dog park is big with lots of room to run. Some fun agility equipment on sight and even a giant herding ball. We had the park to ourselves and they played fetch until their tongues were hanging out. We are here in March and the wind was brisk but the sun is warm. Great stop for great exercise. Nice water stations and shaded spots for the Hoomans.

This is a big dog park. We are traveling from NorCal to SoCal. Our Aussies were needing to run and do some potty. We found this park on Bring Fido and it was exactly what two travel weary doggos needed. It was midday on Friday and we had the place to ourselves except for a small Sheltie that mostly ignored us. I can’t speak for everyone, but a really big fenced area to run until their tongues hang out is all we truly ask. There was water and poop bags there, but we had our own. So five bones for this park.
This trail is the old rail bed. It walks through the heart of Paradise that was decimated in the 2018 Camp Fire. Doggos have to stay on lead and there is no water but it is an enjoyable walk. Most of the trees are gone now, so it is pretty hot in summer. But you can get a close look at Paradise reinventing itself.
