Hello! I’m a proud mom of one dog and a proud sister of another dog and one cat! I have three animals, kiki (my cat), duke (my lab/pit mix), and Mimi (my Brindle Chihuahua). I hope to find some great dog friendly places for me and my pets to be welcomed at and have fun!!

Absolutely Beautiful!!

Ijams Nature Center

This place is STUNNING and great for the dogs to exercise! Duke (my big dog) was sooo excited he loved the water views! We forgot the waters in the car, so Duke tried to drink the muddy water puddles 😭. Fail on our end. So make sure you bring water!! Mimi (our little dog) LOVED it. She loves crunchy leaves so she was having a blast. The trails are long so you aren’t back to back with people trying to walk, which is what we were scared about because Duke doesn’t like big dogs. (He doesn’t attack he just doesn’t like them) so it was great to find out that duke could be extended all the way on his leash and sniff around! The trails weren’t hard or rocky on the dogs feet either so even the little one was fine and could get around great! The dogs are completely wore out and tired after today, so a great place to go to get your doggo tired!! Overall everyone had fun and next time we will be bringing water 😂

Great, for the dogs…

Calhoun's on the River

The doggos loved this place! The place is very sweet and gives your dog a free water bowl with water in it! (you can’t keep the water bowl). Now, as I said it was great, for the dogs. When our food came out it was cold. Everything was cold and the drinks were super small so we had to get multiple refills. There were also not many options on the menu. Then to find out they have a multiple page menu INSIDE the restaurant (which your dog isn’t allowed at). Overall bad experience with the food aspect. After we were done with our cold food, we took the dogs out to the river part and I ran with my big dog, duke. It was actually very fun and had super pretty views! My littlest dog, Mimi was in a doggy stroller the whole time but she had a great time and got lots of love from multiple people! So did Duke. The doggos had a great time and ate a lot of treats!! Although next time we will just hang out around the river views and the seating areas. There is also a water splash pad there!! It is only cut on during the summer so i’ll be bringing the dogs back then!! Overall, the Calhouns part wasn’t great, but the places and views beside it were incredible for the pups!!!

Great Park! (for certain dogs)

Petsafe Dogwood Dog Park at Victor Ashe Park

This is a great park! Living in Knoxville all my life, i grew up here and love this park! it’s great for dog exercise since there is a long trail. There is also a HUGE field your dog can play on (if soccer games aren’t in session). The only thing is, the dog park has very steep obstacles and having a small dog (3 pound Chihuahua), it was hard for her to play on them. Overall, it’s a huge park with great features and if you have the right dog you’ll have a great time with lasting memories!

Great!!

Sonic Drive-In Chapman Highway

Absolutely love!! Sonic now has Pup cups for the doggos and you can pick between whipped cream and ice cream. I always choose whipped cream. The doggos love the cups and not to mention how good the actual food is! My go-to is at least 2 pretzel twists! This is a great place to stop when you just want a snack or a good meal (like a burger) and your already on the road with the pups, they are pretty fast seeing how busy they usually are, and i’ve never had bad service!
