Wow!!! Best Italian since Italy! (NY’er here)

The wait for an outdoor table was worth every bite!!!! Friendly to our golden, and Omg the food!!!!!! The flatbread pizzas are so thin and delicious, you have to get one! They are unlike anything I’ve ever had and have an airy light feeling! The bruschetta was delicious but a small dish for sure (which was great bc I thought we ordered too much food). I shared the chicken Milanese and the tagliatelle pesto dish. The chicken was heavenly!!!! Who says that about chicken!? Wow! It was cooked perfectly and I wanted more! The pasta is fresh, and light!! The sauces Omg so light and savory at the same time! I’m an Italian from NY and this restaurant was delicious!!!! We will be back!

Shaded outdoor dining!

Quiet, relaxing vibe in the yacht marina, the tables were all covered with umbrellas to beat the summer heat. We had breakfast dishes - everything was fresh and delicious! Great service.

VERY dog friendly!

I went in July and most people wanted to sit indoors as it was humid. Plenty of tables outside and we were seated quickly. The server was SO loving and welcoming towards Ziggy, and other dogs as people were sat. The food was SO good! I had mi mi’s breakfast tacos. Omg delicious! Very fresh and loved the vibe of this spot! I will be back!

Cute outdoor shaded patio

More fast paced, but this spot was friendly to dog families. The food was pretty good. Fresh. Shaded courtyard with picnic tables. It was busy so we had to jump on a table for outdoor seating or we would have had to take our food to go back to the hotel.

Great views and excellent location!

This hotel was renovated prior to this season by a new hotel owner. It has a more modern vibe. The staff was very warm and welcoming to us and Ziggy (golden retriever). He was allowed everywhere except indoor dining restaurants and the pool.

Upon arrival, our room wasn’t ready so we had a late lunch at Torpedo Lounge. (I requested a 1st floor walk out, we ended up with a room on the lawn, easy access to everything, and of course it was great because we were able to simply walk out the sliding door to the back and walk him straight away in the morning without waiting for any elevators).

For dinner one night we went to the Pineapple Club on the property - at sunset, the summer breeze from the harbor was amazing, we had a more casual fare listening to live music. Ziggy was accommodated at both torpedo and pineapple. However, I booked our stay Sunday-Wednesday purposely so that it would be slightly less busy around town and we wouldn’t have to wait as long for outdoor seating at restaurants than on the weekend. July is packed in Newport and my plan worked out well.

Make your reservations with outdoor requests on Open Table, but many good restaurants do not reserve outdoor seating. The longest we waited was 15-20 min. I will return to this resort in the future! The saltwater pool was refreshing, and the property landscape views were amazing! Loved it! Next time I will save time for the spa!
