Update 5/21/2026: Not reliable as dog friendly. A few times now we have been turned away because they have decided not to serve outside. food is still great, but don't count on being able to eat there with your fur baby.
Took out big fur baby here. Joseline was great and good with our big boy. (130 lb catahoula). She showed us pictures of her babies and was an excellent server. Food was great, best BBQ I have had in Charlotte County. Nice seating area out front with fans in shade. Excellent service and excellent food. Maybe offer water for pups, but otherwise excellent. We will be back.

We visited here this evening. The service was amazing. They spoiled our little fur baby. U fortunately the were out of the Dog Brew, but made sure she had plenty of water. Our baby wanted Addie's feast off the doggie menu which was delivered quickly in a perfect dog bowl. There were 5 of us 2 loggers and we all enjoyed the food and atmosphere. The only negative I can see if our baby is noise sensitive and it was very noisy so she as very scared while we were there. If your dog is sensitive use caution otherwise this place is perfect for pups!

Food was just mediocre. I would rate this lower than most pub cafes. My wife had the French onion soup which was mainly a water base. She also had the chicken fingers and fries which she said both had very little taste. I had the mega nachos with chicken and my chicken was tasteless, the nachos were ok, but they are mega! 34.00 for what we had. Noy worth the money. They were ok with our dogs being there, but our baby wanted to say hi and they preferred to ignore her. We won't be back.

Gators Dockside is excellent. Brought pup water before anything else. They have a dog menu. The service was excellent. Absolutely recommend if you need someplace to go with your fur baby.
