2025 UPDATE: same great dog friendly coffee and danish shop we visited last year. A must visit if coming to Carolina Beach with your pup!

2024: Extremely pet friendly, welcome inside and water and treats provided. Oh yeah, the coffee and danishes are wonderful, too! And inexpensive! Don’t know how they could be better.

Our 50lb poodle joined us on their covered, center courtyard patio. Water was brought immediately for all of us. Nice and relaxing. Great location just across from the beach in town. We walked the two blocks from our awesome dog friendly motel The Beach House! Definitely order the Ahi Tuna appetizer (enough for 2) with the chips on the side, not mixed in.

We stayed in the King bed room and it was wonderful! Clean and tidy. Not fancy. Balcony facing ocean had 2 rocking chairs and a small table. Outdoor shower on property’s boardwalk to the beach. 2 blocks to great dog friendly restaurant and bar (Seawitch Cafe). Unbeatable price off-season! Felt very welcome with our 50lb dog. No issues.

This place is now called Daybreak Donuts. At first I was disappointed that they weren’t yeast donuts, but then I tasted them. OMG!!! Softest, tastiest donuts ever!! Made while you wait. Fast service. Highly recommend the Madre’s Snowball: vanilla glaze and shredded coconut. Yum!!!! Nice big deck out back overlooking a perfectly gorgeous marsh in front of the sound and the huge bridge crossing over to Surf City. Deck is uncovered so wear a big hat. They also have fountain drinks and coffee but no iced tea. Sunrise Bagels next store for breakfast sandwiches.

Murphy loves all the friendly pats and the free popcorn, and we love it all: good beer and liquor selections, darts, sports on TVs, and live music! And the free popcorn. And so laid back! Highly recommend.

Wear sandals, because you have to walk your dog around the next building over, out onto the beach, then up their back deck steps to be seated. When you finally get seated. We had an hour wait on a Tuesday night. Upside was that gave us plenty of time to walk over to the nice front patio of UnWined for a beer and glass of wine first. Dinner at Daddy Mac’s was good, not exceptional, the view was fantastic, and they brought Murphy a bowl of water and never seemed bothered by him. P.S. the Ahi Sashimi appetizer WAS exceptionally delicious!!

We went on a Monday night after dinner and had a relaxing time enjoying wine, a talented guitarist and singer, and other dog friendly patrons on their covered breezy patio. Will definitely return!

An old-fashioned mountain town motel. Clean and comfortable, great location to walk to all the dog-friendly restaurants, and this motel has tons more dog-friendly lawn than the other motels we’ve tried in Blowing Rock. Will only stay here when traveling with my dog.

This place is popular! 25 minute wait for 2 at the bar on a Monday evening popular! BUT: if you bring your dog, you can be seated AND served in the wonderful covered breezeway behind the restaurant— without a wait most times! Otherwise no service outside, folks were just waiting for their table and having a drink they brought outside to wait. Great food!!
