We heard this is one of the best German restaurants in Helen so decided to try them out. It took a few minutes but we were seated on their large covered screened in deck which was perfect for our dog. No acknowledgment or offers were made for our dog (water, etc) and service was super slow. The bar back had to come by and take our drink order. The water has a weird sewer taste to it.
Food took quite a long time to arrive and when it did one of the meals was so extremely salty we had to send it back. They said they wouldn’t be able to remake that exact meal because it would take too long so brought something else out that was not great but at least edible. None of our food was very good honestly. Will definitely not be coming back.

We have used Helen tubing multiple times before but this was our first time tubing with our dog. We weren’t sure what to expect but they were super helpful and friendly and everything went great! He had his own tube ($14) with a solid base and we put a mat down for him. He absolutely loved riding down the river and even the rapids. Everyone on the water and in town got a kick out of seeing a dog tubing. We went earlier in the day so we didn’t have to wait for the shuttle. Our dogs first time on a school bus and he loved that as well. Had his head out the open window the whole way back to the car.
Highly recommend this activity went in Helen.

We absolutely love this hike because it offers a bit of a challenge. Approximately 5 1/2 miles out and back with slight elevation change but two beautiful waterfalls as your reward. Under the cover of tree canopy and along the creek to keep things cool. Our pup loved the hike and playing in the creek. Do beware though, our last trip there we were chased out by some angry yellow jackets.

This out and back hike is just under 5 miles and about 1600 feet of elevation gain. It’s pretty steep but you are rewarded with some amazing views. Bring lots of water during warm months. Definitely one of the best hikes in the area.

This brewery has a great indoor space with high tops, tables and couches. They have communal games you can play with your family while you have a cold brew and bring some food in from the outside food trucks. We did try the food truck and the tamales were very dry and not great at all. On the day we visited they were out of several of their IPAs which was a bummer but I tried some of their sours and really enjoyed them. Staff is friendly.

Great training and socialization spot for your dog. Always new things for them to see and hear, plus air conditioning! Pick up home needs while training… win win.

This quaint little restaurant has a side brick patio perfect for bringing your pup. There’s plenty of shade and cafe style seating. We found the food to be on the expensive side and although staff was super friendly the food was just ok.

Lots of space and distractions to train with especially during summer when it’s too hot outside. Company wide dog friendly policy.

Brand new to Mount Dora and has some kinks to smooth out. The space is new and beautiful. All outdoor dining so I’d imagine in the summer it will get warm, even with the fans. Nice outdoor seating, top deck with partial lake view and astroturf with games for families.
Service was friendly but slow… mixed drinks were weak but beer selection was good.
Food was ok- had fish tacos (tasty but fish a bit small), street corn (flavorful but corn seemed from can), hot honey chicken (hubby said chicken overcooked and not enough heat)
One of the partners came over and chatted. He was very nice and everyone was dog-welcoming. Since they’ve only been open a little over a week giving them 5 bones… would come back.

We've always been fans of Wako Taco for their food but our first experience dining here with our pup was just ok. The tables are lined up out front over looking the parking lot. They are metal and not very comfortable. The brewery doesn’t allow dogs inside so it’s cumbersome having to order food at one place and drinks in another while managing the dog outside. Would be REALLY nice if you could go inside the brewery with your dog. This time our food was just ok, the corn used in the elote was canned and runny and not great.

We've always liked 5th Street Eatery, great food, nice patio (even if traffic can be noisy), friendly staff… but this was our first time dining with our pup. Definitely dog friendly- brought ice water and have dog menu so will be back.

Travel Country carries a wide variety of outdoor gear and always have helpful, knowledgeable employees ready to offer assistance. They were very welcoming to our pup. We enjoyed browsing and ended up taking advantage of a 20% off sale they were having on shoes. Although a bit pricey shopping here has always been a great experience

We've Always liked Mellow Mushroom even if the service is always slow. For pups you sit on a nice side patio. They have fans but the TV is broken (bummer when you want to watch the game). Covered patio is nice but if it’s raining and windy you’ll get wet. They did bring a bowl for our pup.

This smaller dog park has separate areas based on dog size, some shade (with fans), agility-type equipment, trees, and dog water station. There seems to be a lot of regulars who all were welcoming and nice. I liked that there was a place to wash our pup before heading out for dinner. Located behind the ball fields and next to the mountain bike trail.

We were looking a casual place on the water with great seafood and found it at Crab Stop. We were seated at a picnic table on the patio overlooking the river and a fantastic young woman was performing during dinner. Service was good and a bowl of water was brought for our pup.
The menu had a lot of options, both fried and streamed/grilled that hit the spot. Also a nice drink selection. Would definitely return when in the area.

There is a decent sized side patio where you can dine with your pup. Unfortunately the evening sun shines into this space so it can get warm during summer. Thankfully the day we visited it was overcast so it was tolerable. There was one other dog on the patio dining with their owners. The patio overlooks the busy parking lot.
Service was fine, but there was no water brought for our dog or any other specific dog accommodations offered. I thought the food was pretty good, but just your basic bar food. Nothing especially wonderful about it but service was quick and food was decent so we would probably come back.

Renting here was relaxed and easy. It was our pups first time on a boat and he did great! We had excellent (but hot) weather and enjoyed island hopping and cruising the intercoastal. It was a little challenging finding the marina because it wasn’t well marked and behind a locked gate. I called for the code and was able to get in. Our rental time didn’t start until we actually left the marina.

This is a nice county park on a peninsula on the intercoastal. Our campsite was right on the water. There is a boat ramp, dock, multiple bathrooms, laundry facilities, pond and volleyball court. There is a large grassy area but no fenced in area for dogs to run off leash. There are poop bags at various locations. Our pup did get into ants at one point which wasn’t fun (the ants were in the grassy field and our campsite). The ants got hubby while he was cooking on the grill one day. And the no see ums were pretty awful and kept us from fully enjoying being outdoors. They laughed at our insect repellent, lol.

The people who run Eden Abbey are super nice but each time we’ve gone food has taken a loooooong time. Our first visit with our pup was no different. You have to walk through the restaurant to get to the back patio and it was HOT. No water or bowl was brought for our pup. I tried a couple of their beers and didn’t love any of them, there’s an aftertaste I’m not a fan of. The food took too long to come out and once it did it was not as promised (different ingredients and looked nothing like the photo) so two in our party sent their food back. The best thing we had were the chicken bites. They were fresh and hand breaded. The rest of the food was just ok. The back patio is pretty though, but the night we visited it was simply too warm.

Typical Tijuana Flats. This location has a good sized covered seating area to the side of the restaurant. You can access the patio through a gate. Outdoor seating is adjacent to busy 441 which can be loud but was good socialization for our puppy. No water or bowl was provided when we dined with our pup so bring your own. Service can be hit or miss, especially when on the patio (out of sight out of mind)

Garibaldi’s has been our go to Mexican restaurant for years. I always get the same dish and the margaritas are stellar. The restaurant can get really loud, however. This was our first time bringing our pup. We were seated on the left side of the building which was perfect because the front gets very loud and busy. We had enough room for our 20lb 4 month old puppy who did very well on his first outing. He was quiet and stayed at our feet the entire meal. Our server brought him a bowl of water. Other than the water no pet accommodations.
