Excellent spot for dogs
Granite City Food & BreweryThe patio is large and plenty of room for pups. Great spot to land if you need a chill spot to hang out with your dogs.
The restaurant was on a kind of busy road so the patio was a little tired but manageable.
The food is fine - classic American bar food. Burgers were okay but the brussel sprouts were amazing.
Pretty park with lots of walking options
Lake Atalanta ParkBrought my two pups here for some exercise while my wife worked. Lots of walking options! There is a wide, paved, easy (mostly flat) path for walking the goes around the entire reservoir. It goes in and out of the sun so could be warm in the summer. However, there are plenty of trails that go through the woods and offer more shade. The trails are narrower and probably not suitable if you don’t want to risk a closer encounter with another dog.
Great Food And Perfect For Pups
Shaggy's Pensacola BeachShaggy’s was perfect place for our first stop in Pensacola with the dogs. The patio space for the dogs is large with lots of seating both in and out of the sun. Though we didn’t need them, there were plenty of fans and our waitress told us that they also recently installed misters for hot days.
The food was great! We both wanted some fresh Florida seafood so I had the fish sandwich and my wife had the fried shrimp po’ boy. Don’t forget a side order of hush puppies! We also ordered two grilled chicken tenders for the dogs (they gave them a five bone rating).
Beautiful
Burkes BeachSo pretty. Some dogs were on leash and some were off, so it's not a good place for reactive dogs. But if your dog is good with other sotd, it's a super dog friendly beach!
Awesome
Captain Woody'sOur best experience yet!
Captain Woody's was so accommodating to our dogs. It has a great outdoor patio with tables that are well-spaced apart. We had plenty of room for our dogs to spread out.
The food was excellent and exceeded our expectations! They also had a doggie burger (it wasn't on the menu but they offered it when we said we wanted to order for them) which our pups gave two paws up to.
Definitely recommend this spot! And don't skip the hush puppies.
Perfect Spot!
Mellow MushroomWe ate here with our two dogs one evening in early May. The place is very dog friendly and has 4-5 tables out front that you can sit at. They are located in the heart of the historic area so the view and ambiance out front is great. We went just after dusk and the temperature was very pleasant, even for our heat-sensitive dogs. The staff brought water immediately for the dogs and everyone was genuinely happy to have them there. On top of the great experience, the food was good!
