If you know Santa Cruz, it’s hilly and has older buildings, which means stairs and/or steep slopes. This hotel for being built on a hillside was just what we needed. It’s directly across from the beach & wharf. We stayed in the Family suite with 2 king beds, one in each room. There was enough space to walk around the beds & we had an ocean view. There is a dog run that allows for them to be off leash and run around a bit. The walk to the beach and boardwalk was quick, less than 5 minutes. My 1 standard poodle & 2 miniature poodles love their stay & we would welcome a trip again.
