Super Chill Night

This was our first stop on a long road trip and it hit the spot. Room was comfy for us and our golden retriever, and we appreciated that we could get delicious food and drinks on-site. As a bonus, there was a band playing while we were there which ended well before bedtime. Will absolutely be staying here on our way back!

Peaceful Shady Spot to Zoom

Our golden was over our road trip by the time we arrived here and this little dog park provided the perfect opportunity to run around, play fetch, hydrate, and even learn some new tricks on the obstacles.

Pure Excellence

Amazing space for dogs to run around, slash in the Animas, and stretch their legs after a long drive.

Fun but toasty

Dogs welcome on dunes (on-leash), but not in welcome center. Dunes can get quite hot in summer, so recommend water and booties. There are water stations by entrance to wash feet and paws. National Parks require a pass or fee to enter.

Worth the detour

Eclectic attraction, dogs are welcome everywhere on-leash. Note it is an active construction site at all times and there are loose chickens and goats. Our golden was too chicken to go up the stairs but enjoyed exploring the exterior.

Convenient Spot w View of Big Art

Stopped here on trip across Kansas and Colorado. Pretty exposed but grassy. Water available, and some obstacles for training/playing.

Clean, easy, convenient

Just an easy experience. Not far from the road, green areas for sniffing and relieving, and friendly staff.

Clean, cozy, and creekside

This was our midway stop from Flagstaff to Denver. Nice place to relax w our golden for the night. He enjoyed splashing in the creek and chasing geese (all on-leash!). Fee is $35 per dog, per night (2 dog maximum) absolutely no dogs under 1 year of age and NO CATS.
