We have visited this restaurant several times when traveling through Charlottesville. The setting in the downtown pedestrian mall is lovely and the outdoor patio accommodates pets. The food and service are always excellent and we will continue to visit each time we are in town.

Every time we visit St Aug. we have a glass (or bottle) of wine here. The courtyard is lovely, shaded and there is likely some live music. The wait staff are fantastic and the wine selections are top notch. We visit 2-3 times every year and Bin 39 is a “go to” for us every time.

Every time we are in town we go to Old Coast Ales next door for a beer and grab some tacos from Osprey. The people are so friendly and the food is absolutely amazing. There is plenty of shade for pups to enjoy the outdoor seating. Be sure to order some house made chips, salsa and guac which are a nice touch to accompany the best tacos. Can’t wait to go back!

We stopped in for lunch and we’re able to sit on the covered patio with our pup Moose. The food was fantastic and we will absolutely return.

we enjoyed our lunch at The Brass Tap. Tacos and salads were delicious and there was a huge tap list. The outdoor seating with our pup Moose was comfortable and they were very accommodating. We will definitely be back!

We enjoyed this brewery and grateful that pups were allowed inside because there is no shade in the outdoor space.

This tavern has wonderful outdoor seating for families with pups and the food is wonderful! we had the best fish and chips that we’ve run into in a very long time. Friendly staff and even a fresh water bowl for Moose.

Wonderful patio for an afternoon lunch with our pup. The food was very good and they have a variety of beer, wine and cocktails. The staff was very friendly and we would definitely recommend The Sterling Tavern.

We were camping at Assateague and stopped on our way in. Very friendly owner who invited us with doggie in tow to come inside. We got our beers and sat outside under a shady tree because it was a beautiful day but we love that they invite dogs to also be inside which is rare.
Beers were great! Highly recommend.

Just across the street from Eola Park! We enjoyed our afternoon sitting outside with our pup and people watching.

We had a wonderful lite lunch of shrimp and a hummus plate while relaxing by the lake. Very dog friendly under their covered outdoor patio.

We visited on a chilly and wet day in mid January. Luckily their dog friendly area is a covered and protected patio area with heaters! The food was ok but would say the service was outstanding. We would go back.

We saw the good reviews for the restaurant and the extra bonus of being dog friendly sold us. The food was indeed delicious and the staff were friendly to us and our pup. It was about to rain so we were able to sit on a covered side porch which truly is an interior space. Would definitely go back.

Nice covered outdoor patio welcomes dogs and provides bowls of water. Wines are good and views are lovely. Shady areas made for dog friendly environment.
