Charming waterfront location with park and boardwalk along the river. Nice square across the street with several eateries and bars, with pet friendly outdoor seating in warm weather. The room we were put in was quite small though.

Comfortable, spacious rooms with full kitchen. Very pooch friendly. Only drawback is you have to cross a fairly busy roadway behind the hotel to get to nearest pet relief area. Hotel is close to Toronto and Niagara Falls. There is a nearby very large, off leash dog park with multiple connected fenced areas with water stations and bowls.

The room was small, outdated and poorly maintained. Hair in the tub and sink drains. When I turned on the AC/heat unit it stunk like dirty socks!!!I removed and washed the filters and cleaned the vents which helped some. Breakfast offerings were meager to say the least, pop tarts, white bread, bagels, English muffins, weak coffee, a few hard boiled eggs (which were all taken by one guest), sugary cereals and cereal bars, canned fruit, but no milk! Seems as though this is a hotel catering to truckers and transient laborers. The highlight of our stay was dinner at “Asian Cuisine” a family owned and run Asian restaurant that also offered a few American dishes. The Asian offerings were delicious. And they allowed us to bring our pooch in too!

Our experience with Town House Lodge was only so-so. If “no frills” is what you’re looking for, this is the place. The upside: Bed was comfortable. Lodge location very good and convenient to all area attractions. Surrounding area felt safe for early morning and late evening dog walks. Our pooch Grace was happy there. General ambience was quiet

The downside: The “through the wall” style heat/AC unit was very loud which disrupted our sleep and the unit was unable to keep a steady temperature making the room either too hot or too cool which added to our poor sleep experience. There is virtually no one on staff on location, all communication, including check-in is done via text or email. Response for communication time ranged from minutes to overnight

Inquiry regarding availability of pet sitting services was made in writing a month before our stay and again several days prior stay with the answer coming to us 4 days after our stay. No housekeeping services unless requested! There was only one towel bar in our Superior King room to hang towels to dry. The bathroom door didn’t close completely. The provided body wash and hair conditioner dispensers were both empty upon our arrival. No hairdryer provided. Two individual 2 drawer night stands are the only place to put folded clothing, a small wall rack was provided for hanging. The price was not bargain, I would choose otherwise next time.
