Beautiful, but Rocky
Pilgrim Haven Natural AreaThis is a beautiful natural area, away from the business of the South Haven beaches! The actual beach itself is very rocky, so not ideal for dogs. The wooded area and trails are beautiful though! We found a nice place to set up near where the stream lets out into the lake and our dogs had a blast splashing in the stream as it was nice and sandy!
Worth It!
Prairie View Dog ParkWe have been twice in the last 3 days with our 6 month old husky/lab mix and she has absolutely loved it! Not only is it teaching her great social skills, but we’re able to get some of her endless energy out! Being half husky, she loves to run but our yard is small. The wide open spaces are perfect for her! I also absolutely love the wooded portion that is fenced, such a great place for her to sniff around and explore. The park seems to be kept up very well and is completely worth the $25 annual fee, especially since that allows you access to the other Kalamazoo County parks which includes River Oaks Park That also has a dog park and an amazing splash pad for kids!
