This motel is obviously older and the outside looks dated. However, the rooms were very clean and spacious. The pet friendly room was very large. They only have one pet friendly room so book early. There was some confusion regarding our rooms. The day of the reservation I was contacted and asked if we could move our rooms upstairs (which I thought was strange because I had been told the pet friendly room was was on the ground floor). In the end we were given one room on the first floor and one on the second. The only problem was that I was traveling with my elderly mother in law who could not use the stairs. We were okay with that until the manager told us that the dog could not stay in the second floor room "because it had carpet." In the end he let us use that room so my mother in law could use the ground floor room. Initially he was a bit rude until I pointed out that they changed our rooms.

If you want a slice of old School Americana stay at the Arizona 9 Motor Hotel on historic Rte. 66. The rooms were super affordable and clean. Small and no frills but that was okay for one night. The only concern I had was security. Only door knob locks and chain on the inside of the door. Fortunately we have a very large dog.

Wonderful staff - cheerful and helpful! The rooms were nicely appointed. Very clean. Downtown location close to plenty of restaurants. We enjoyed our stay!

Easy to find and good location after a long day on the road. Quiet. Only negative was a couple of breakfast items were inedible. Staff was cheerful and friendly.
