Birdie was 4 years old when we met. She is a golden retriever. It’s all about her nose!

So we stayed here just for one night, which was good. The pros didn’t outweigh the cons so here it goes. The check-in went just okay. I was required to put a $150 deposit for potential pet damage. The sink was visibly leaking and the shelf below was seriously warped. I went to the front desk to report this and he said he had no idea this was going on. No “sorry for your inconvenience.” I said “I’m fine in this room the drip was slow.“ I put down an ice bucket with a towel.
The room had a bad smell and my dog wouldn’t quit sniffing everything. Along side on the bed cover were 2 huge spots which smelled of urine. I went back to the front desk and said we needed a new room. Again no “sorry for your inconvenience.” We were given the handicapped room. No smells and lots of room.
Spent the night on a marshmallow bed with balloon pillows. All night long the air conditioner came off and on which was fine but after it got to full power it sounded like there was a bat flapping around in there. Next morning I told the clerk about the noise and she said she would tell the maintenance person. No “I’m sorry for the inconvenience.“
There is a fenced parking area and the clerk said have the dog use anywhere. It’s a nice fenced parking area not big but good enough. It was quiet with the typical hotel breakfast which I avoided. There is a nearby Starbucks. They do have the ability to open their sliders out to a nice but very small patio. We started with one but the handicap room had a bush. There you go.

Great staff at check-in. I would have liked a total tile floor in the room It’s pretty quiet in the room even though it’s right along the freeway. They gave us a list of information about local dog parks etc. The actual dog area was a bit small for my golden. I took her for a walk about and it worked out fine. Fenced parking area which is helpful for a dog who needs privacy. Our bed was great and the pillows were perfect.

Nice trail around the edge to walk while my dog sniffed. It was a bit confusing to get to it but we figured it out. Head to the skate park to park the car then follow the signs to dog park. People bathrooms are closed in the winter.

This is a nice dog park with a big awning and picnic tables. It’s super tricky to get to and then leave to get back to the freeway. Remember to cross over the bridge look to your right and it’s next to a gravel yard. When leaving go under the bridge and back to the road you came in on. Maps went all over the place for us!
We ate lunch here that we bought at another exit. There were no services at this exit.
There is a porta potty.

Nice and clean. We ate outside on their deck. It’s themed after a resort feel. The area to walk the pup was great.

This is along the freeway so it’s noisy. The potty place is very small but there is a dog park with in a half mile that’s pretty nice. Everyone was very kind and Birdie got a bone.

Pouring rain but still fun. Lots of birds because of the water. Osprey and Eagles!

Very nice open trails. Lots of Canadian geese. Challenging disc golf course. Nice huge pond. Easy to find.
