It Does The Job
Dog Park at Van Vorst ParkWe live right by here so we have to use this dog park. It’s okay... if it rains, it floods... can be a bit too small for big dogs and can end in a dog or two brawling... does have running water though! It’s a lame park in comparison to other cities and their dog parks we visit but it works for what we need it for.

Good Patio To Enjoy W A Pup
The Kitchen StepThey do allow pups to join you for brunch/dinner. It’s a bit crammed though so if your dog gets anxious like ours there’s a good dog park in van vorst park to tire your dog out before going to enjoy brunch. Food is okay.

Big Patio!
Gilbert's Chowder HouseGreat big patio to enjoy with your pup. This place wasn’t as busy as some of the surrounding spots on a Friday night which we opted for! Our dog can be a bit reactive in new places and meeting new people so having a big patio where she could learn to relax and be okay was very helpful!

Outdoor Patio For The Taking!
Tandem Coffee and BakeryWe sat outside here twice during our Maine trip with our dog. They didn’t have water bowls or anything and the patio was a bit crammed so may not be the best spot to bring your pup if high stressed.

No Outdoor Patio In Sight
Street and Co.I booked a reservation here but unfortunately didn’t see any outdoor seating. We had to leave our pup at home but the food here is amazing so it’s still def worth it!

Big Patio
Rising Tide Brewing CompanyLoved coming here with our pup! It was a rather big patio so we were able to space out a bit from the others and let the dogs play in a corner of the seating area as well. Great staff and overall enjoyable experience.

Relaxing Spot With The Pup
Flatbread CompanyWe were able to get right in to here and sit on a big patio near the water with our puppy. She can be a bit reactive to new places and strangers and this was the perfect spot to relax, enjoy a meal, and give her her space not completely surrounded by people on all sides of her. The staff was super friendly and asked me where she would feel most comfortable. It was great to see they accepted and understood not every dog is going to be head over heels about meeting everyyyyone right away and they were totally willing to work with us and her training to create positive experiences in new places w new faces.

Awesome Time!
East End Beach at Eastern Promenade ParkWe went here with our 8 month husky mix during our Maine vacation. It was her first beach experience and we felt comfortable letting her off leash as the rocks created a nice border/fence and there was plenty of dogs to keep her occupied. Dogs of all shapes and sizes were playing well together and the beach itself was quite clean! It is true that during the summer hours your dog has limited hours to be off leash however we went w the flow and let her off after seeing 7 dogs off leash at 3pm est. great spot to visit all around!

Awesome Spot!!
Quarry Run Dog ParkWhile traveling to Maine with our 8 month husky mix we stopped here after reading so many great reviews. We have nothing like this in jersey city and it was really cool to see her off leash exploring woods with other pups and their fam. Great spot to get her energy out and practice recall. Bring bug spray and wear shoes that you don’t mind getting dirty! The fences are also a bit unstable so if your dog is really determined they could probably jump or bulldoze through it but even on leash I bet any pup would enjoy.

Valley Street Dog ParkMy husband and I were visiting Maine with our 8 month husky mix. This was the perfect spot to meet a few other dog friendly pups and let her roam around before going to a few breweries. Well kept and water was available!

Great Location And Guest Service
Lord Camden InnWe thoroughly enjoyed our stay here w our eight month old husky/shepherd mix, Juno. Denise was so friendly and Juno warmed up quite quickly to her and the treats she gave her. It meant a lot to have such an accommodating hotel that is helping us socialize our pup so early on in a brand new environment. Room was clean and breakfast was great. Thank you!
