Dog friendly patio on Heritage Square

My husband was looking for Menudo so we found this spot, with a dog friendly patio.
There are a good number of outside tables and they brought a bowl of water on request. No treats.
Hubby said the menudo was excellent. The other food was good, nothing spectacular.

Great menu, covered patio

Covered patio with table service. Outside access. There is one low 4top and 3 high tops for 2-3, also a bar counter. So, might be hard to get a table when busy.
Abundant parking including pull thru which we appreciated for our camper.
Varied menu options including lunch specials.
Good service and food.
No special treatment for dogs - we had our own water dish and treats.

Budget and dog friendly

Best Westerns are typically a good choice for dog friendly accommodations. $30 per night pet fee. Reasonable price for a popular tourist area. Abundant free parking and easy freeway access.
Motel style, it's an older property and shows its age, but overall is clean and comfortable. Our room was upper level away from the freeway and very quiet. Good, free hot breakfast. Our dog was welcomed with a complimentary 'flea bag' containing 2 poop bags and 4 biscuits. They have a good sized pet exercise area with a bag dispenser and trash can. It is not fenced and is adjacent to the freeway exit ramp, so dog stayed on leash.

Great choice for pet friendly stays

They are very welcoming to pets. Pet fee of $75 for 1-4 nights is a little high for shorter stays. The first time we stayed we were given a free water bowl. This time we were offered poop bags, and a door hang tag to alert staff of a dog in the room. Based on the rules I reviewed and signed, I believe you can leave the pet alone in your room for short periods although we chose not to. They have a very small patch of artificial turf for pet exercise plus free bags and disposal. They also allow walking of the dog anywhere on the property. Rooms are very nice and comfortable. They include a kitchenette making them nice for longer stays. Good, hot free breakfast.

Spacious dog friendly patio

We enjoyed a delicious Cafe Latte and Chai Latte along with tasty brunch food - our group liked the scone, pancakes and chilaquiles. Our furry friend enjoyed her pup cup and dog biscuit.
The dog friendly covered patio was perfect for a drizzly day.
You do need to order inside and then food and drinks are delivered to the table, so it may be a challenge for a single diner with dog.

Delicious Thai

We love the menu variety and very tasty dishes. Reasonably priced and great service. They have 3 tables outside for dog dining. Server brought out a water bowl and fussed over our dog.
Parking can be challenging but there's more available in back lot and on the street behind the shopping center.

Excellent choice for dogs!

This is a very dog friendly hotel. Staff was welcoming. There are lots of grassy areas for dog walking and potty. Bags and trash provided. Nice safe spot, good parking. Convenient off freeway but quiet, easy to walk to restaurants and Starbucks. Pet fee of $25.

Hotel Lumberjack

Some good, some bad

The good: The Hotel Lumberjack has been remodeled fairly recently, new carpet, paint and fixtures. Rooms are clean, a few outdoor sitting areas, plenty of parking. Staff is super nice and was friendly towards our dog which was a big plus. Responsive to requests. Our room had a vinyl upholstered bench which our dog liked sleeping on --- ask what's available in the rooms. We appreciated having a bit of extra space, a desk with chair, a counter with microwave and mini fridge and chair. No easy chairs.
Location convenient to nearby state parks and other natural areas. Easy walk into town for restaurants and shopping. Close to grocery.

The bad: The room did have a bit of a musty smell on arrival which dissipated. Hotel is really a motel - check-in is across the alley at the Sonora Inn, as is the free breakfast. Breakfast was pretty basic - baked goods, cereal, yogurt, waffles and hard boiled eggs. One day there was ham and cheese; I guess to make a boiled egg sandwich? I was never quite clear on how housekeeping worked - room was not serviced unless we asked; housekeeper said they were 'behind' (it was full) so one day we asked for fresh towels and another day a refresh (bed made, trash emptied). Had to go to desk for more coffee packs and cups.

Bring an eye shade, the place is lit up very bright at night. Traffic noise being on a main street but fairly quiet at night. For being 'dog friendly' there is no potty spot on the premises - cement and gravel. We walked down the alley to a small little park that smelled like urine and weed and was a popular homeless hangout. We found a grassy spot she liked across the street in the Armory parking lot, tho lots of litter.
PET FEE is $25 per day so $100 for our 4 night stay.

The Armory loves dogs!

We had a great experience at The Armory Sonora! Shaded lower beer garden welcomes pups. You order at the bar, grab your drinks, then they deliver food to your tables. Great deals for Taco Tuesday.
We ordered a steak bowl from the doggie menu (chicken also offered) for our dog which was mostly rice with beef bits and some edamame. She gobbled it down! Water bowls happily provided upon request. Super friendly bartenders and servers.
They have misters, too, which was appreciated on a hot afternoon. Plentiful free parking.
Great find in Sonora!

Yummy food and cozy patio

Julian is known for pie and Apple Alley offers a delicious variety of pies, baked goods and lunches. Soups, sandwiches, wraps.
The partially covered patio alongside and in the back are off the street. Well spaced for dining with the pups. You have to order inside, but as I was alone I was allowed to bring my dog inside to the counter. Food was brought out to me, along with a bowl of water and a milkbone treat.

Great place for a dog

Idyllwild Inn offers a variety of dog friendly cabins/cottages. No fee although they reserve the right to charge a cleaning fee if necessary. Cabins have all the amenities: full kitchen, bath/shower, comfy beds with all linens provided, TV, fireplace, heater and fan. Some of the listings implied a fully enclosed deck which I don't think was accurate; mine and others I saw had an opening for the steps with no gate. But the front porch and back deck was a very nice feature. I had a studio cabin, very rustic and was located on the main road so there was some street noise. Easy walk to a nice trail, and dog friendly shops/restaurants.

Excellent dog-friendly stay

Great location convenient to shops, freeways and the awesome Simi Valley Dog Park. Very quiet location.
Friendly check-in; simply had to agree to standard dog rules and a $30 deposit for the dog, which was removed from my card after my stay! So many hotels charge a pet fee (some outrageous) so I've learned to do my research before booking. We gad an outside room in the southeast corner convenient to the little dog 'potty' area.

Good dog friendly accommodation

I was traveling without an RV to meet up with friends who were camping here. Various dog friendly options are available. I chose a Tiki Tent which was great for me and my pup. It has a small, fully fenced gravel area and close to the sports fields for early/late walks. There's a small dog park in the resort for a little off leash time. It was a holiday weekend so very crowded and lots of activity. My dog is pretty chill so she was fine- some would be way overstimulated. Dogs permitted in office, shop and all outdoor dining and recreation areas except not the pools. There are a lot of great spots in this area to explore with your dog.

They love dogs at Full of Life Flatbread! There's lots of outside seating on the long covered porch and under umbrellas in the garden. Excellent service. The menu has a nice variety of salads and fantastic wood-fired flatbreads. Water bowls for dogs all over. I didn't notice a doggie menu.

Great beverages, pleasant patio

I was happy to be able to bring my dog inside to order from their extensive beverage menu. I had an Iced Chai Latte - a little light on the chai spice, but still refreshing. My Pecan Chocolate Scone was huge - fresh and delicious. We sat on an outside table and enjoyed a guitar player singing for tips.

Great Happy Hour

My dog was welcomed at a table on the back patio. The server and other staff fussed over her and brought a bowl of ice water and a treat.
The Happy Hour menu has lots of reasonably priced yummy 'smaller' portions and appetizers. They also have a full bar to order from.

Excellent spot for Dog Friendly dining

My dog and I enjoyed lunch at Jeremy's. Perfect for a solo diner with dog since they provide friendly outside service in the large patio area. Good variety on menu including tasty vegetarian options.
No special treatment of my dog from the server but no big deal, I had brought her travel water bottle and treat. I believe bowls would be available on request.
I appreciate that the patio area is large so that there was space between other diners.
This is the most dog friendly restaurant in Julian, in my opinion.

Tasty Mexican standards

We live in Borrego Springs and Carmelita's is our favorite for Mexican breakfast, lunch or dinner. They also have some 'American' food options. Friendly service.
Dogs are permitted on the adjacent patio - about 5 tables. Table service provided. Only partially shaded depending on time of day.
Summers here are very hot so think twice before bringing your furry friend when the temps are high.

A Borrego favorite

We live in Borrego Springs year round and this is a favorite spot for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
There's a large dog friendly patio with ramada covering plus 2 smaller attached patio areas. The food is very good and water for dog plus a treat is provided.
Service is friendly, but 'leisurely', locals know this and visitors can relax and enjoy.
Yes, summers are very hot here and we leave our pup at home when temps are high as there's no comfortable way for her to accompany us.

Good food, picnic tables

Whoa Nellie Deli has a surprisingly varied menu. Delicious food but kind of pricey. You order inside and can sit with your dog at the picnic tables in the grassy area. Some shade trees. Tables up against the shop are 'No Dogs Allowed', as is the indoor seating within the shop itself, of course.

Excellent breakfast stop

Bring Fido pointed us to this place and it was a good choice. We went for breakfast. 'Well behaved' dog on leash allowed inside. It was not busy. A good variety for breakfast, tasty although my English Muffin was underdone and 'fresh fruit' was frozen berries.
Excellent service.
They do also have 2 outdoor seating areas with a beautiful view of the mountains.

Several Picnic tables are in need of repair.
We enjoyed out breakfast.
