We went to Cape May for a long weekend with our four-legged children. While there we went to Mooncussers twice. Both times had a great experience. To be clear, it is not actually a restaurant, it is more of a bar, and both nights we were there they had music. Dogs are not permitted in the covered area, however, there was plenty of space outback where are the dogs were welcomed. They have picnic tables and fire pits out back, and there were many families with dogs. There is a convenient sizable patch of grass behind the fire pits where the dogs can play or relieve themselves. The staff was very attentive, even recalling that one of our dogs was afraid of fire, and returning to check on him after he had lit the fire pit. It was a very relaxed environment, and a wonderful way to sit, have a drink, eat dinner and listen to music all while still being in the company of our four legged friends.
