We stayed at this location for one night along our way back to SC from Connecticut. After a long day of driving it was a welcome relief to find the hotel easily off the interstate. There are many fast food restaurants on the strip of road it is located on (Firehouse Sub, Chipotle, Wendy's, Burger King, McDonalds and more). There is a Tidal Wave car wash nearby if you need to wash the road salt or sludge off of your vehicle. From the lobby to the elevator to the room it was clean, well maintained, comfortable and pleasant.
The front desk staff was friendly and polite. The check-in process was easy, checkout was smooth. The room was clean, smelled great, was a very good size (we had a king bed room). The pet area was large and grassy, and they provide bags for pick up. The breakfast bar in the morning was nice with eggs, bacon, potato cakes, a waffle maker and a large variety of tea selections, which I appreciate as a tea only drinker. They have a small table and mini fridge in the lobby with candy, bottled water, etc. Our pups were comfortable and enjoyed their stay as well.

We spent one night with our two pups at The Darcy Hotel on our way from SC to CT for Christmas. We arrived rather late in the day (about 10:30 pm). The doorman/valet was very welcoming and helpful. The front desk staff was pleasant and very pet friendly. The room was fine for us with our two small dogs, but it was long and narrow with a small bathroom so if you have larger dogs and/or large or several pieces of luggage it may be a tight fit for you. The room was clean, well taken care of and comfortable. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and very peaceful which was much needed after about 11 hours of driving and sitting in traffic jams. At checkout the morning staff was also very friendly and pleasant and gave our two girls a treat for the road. It was a very smooth transaction start to finish.
Two things to know when booking: 1) There is not a pet area on site. You will need to walk your pups across the DC streets to a small park like area with grass for them to do their business. 2) Parking (the one and only complaint we have with our stay). I did read that there was not parking on site, but they had a valet that could park for us at another location. So, we knew there would be a parking fee of some sort associated with our stay as well as two tips (morning and night valets) for the valet. However, nowhere was the actual fee outlined. It was quite shocking at checkout to have a $60 parking fee on top of the booking total and about $35 in tips. So be aware that you will pay $60 for parking at this location, and it is your only option for parking from what we could tell.
