I would have given this 5 stars but the trail was not well marked. We saw 2 of the falls but then the trail sort of hit a dead end. (Probably user error) but the swimming at the first fall was so fun for our dogs. There was a bit of current that kept them entertained trying to swim “upstream”. The drive to the hike from Marquette was beautiful - in late September lots of color starting to show, good drive for leaf peeping :)

This was amazing! We brought our 2 dogs to watch the sunset. It was late September, not crowded at all. We were able to let the dogs off leash to play near the water because there were so few people. You can’t actually see the sunset over the water because of the tree-line, but the sky was beautiful with sunset colors. Afterwards walking back to our car in the “dark” was not an issue as it’s so close to the parking lot.

This was a short (maybe 15 min) hike up to the observation decks. We took the path with the most stairs. We had our 4 and 8 year old Weimaraners with us and the stairs were no problem. Easy access from the parking lot, and beautiful views when you reach the top. We went in late September - not terribly crowded, no insects, leaves had started to change.
