The Graduate Hotel in Richmond is a very nice facility right in the midst of VCU campus. Like other Graduate Hotels, the bed was so comfortable. Beautiful, historic area. Unfortunately, there was no green space for pets on the property itself. We had to walk Bayou a few blocks down the street to a park. Probably not a problem for most but our dog isn’t used to heavy car traffic/city atmosphere and it made her very nervous. Plus, it rained all day one of the days we were there, so that made it worse for her. Parking was valet only at $37 per day and they were very slow to return the car upon request the morning we checked out…35 minutes. Better place for humans w/o pets or pets that are used to a busy atmosphere.

We booked this room as a place to stay south of Atlanta on the way home during a 2 day trip. The room was comfortable and the staff members were very professional and helpful. There is a very nice green space, just past the pool & parking lot, for pet relief. Also, several close restaurants for dinner options and breakfast included in the stay. Room could use a little updating but not a big deal.

My husband booked this as a halfway stop on a 2 day trip to see our son. The staff members were friendly and the location was convenient, just off the interstate. The pet area was not good at all. You had to walk down a hill to get to ample green space and there was traffic & noise all around it, making it difficult for our girl to focus on her business instead of being nervous. The rooms were very much in need of a refresh… peeling wallpaper & prior water damage was evident by rusty light fixtures. The bed was comfortable, the price was okay and the included breakfast was actually good.
