We have a 1 year old pug, Lily

Really enjoyed the Benson. Would rate it 5. The negatives, $54 for valet par and a $50 pet fee made it more expensive than planned for. We were able to have dinner in the lobby from the Palm Court restaurant. The food was just okay. But the positives are great location, a beautiful lobby, and they brought up a dog bed (although she slept with us), and a water bowl.

Great hotel staff. Room nice. Nice grassy area for Fido with a waste station. Two issues: One, the phone in the room did not work; I had to use my cell phone to contact the front desk. Two, the room otherwise seemed very clean, but there were ants in the bathroom.

This is a pet-friendly stop and down a long driveway so you don’t hear the traffic on 101. The rooms are big, and we had a great view of the ocean. Lots of lawn with bags and bins for Fido. I would stay here again!

We got off on the wrong foot when we arrived early and the surly woman at the front desk was unhelpful. Everyone else was friendly and helpful. The grounds are nice, the room was huge. However the property backs up to Highway 101, so we heard the traffic anytime we were in our room, including all night. They have doggie poop bags and garbage cans available. And the staff cleans up the elk poop quickly. And yes, there are elk everywhere. The cookies were a very nice touch.
