I have an 8.5 year old Border Collie who is very well behaved and not destructive.

I make an annual trip to get away from the San Francisco Bay area around the Independence Day holiday due to all the fireworks noise that makes it sound like a war zone. I have been going to the Eastern Sierra community of Walker California for the past seven years and I have never heard a single fireworks noise in all that time.
For the past three years, I have stayed at the Andruss Motel during this annual trip. It’s a small motel with very nice, clean, comfortable rooms and the owner is a very nice and friendly person. It is pet friendly with a large area where you can walk your dog. The swimming pool area is well cared for, clean, and towels are waiting for you along the pool. All the people that I have met, customers and staff, have been friendly and sociable.
There are several nice restaurants and a small general store within walking distance from the motel. Topaz Lake is a short drive to the north and is a nice lake for swimming for both you and your dog. There’s also a small casino on the Nevada side that has a couple nice restaurants and there’s always gambling if you’re interested in that. The Bode ghost town, Markleeville, Bridgeport, Lake Tahoe, Mono Lake, and many other Eastern Sierras attractions are all easily accessible by short drives from the motel. It’s a great quiet escape area and there are plenty of attraction to keep you entertained while staying there.

No problems checking in and no problems encountered during our stay. The room was nice and clean and the king-sized bed was great. The floor was waterproof wood tile, so dog dishes were no problem. There’s a large park just across the corner from the property and beach access is about a half mile away. I would use Beachside Inn again on my next trip to Crescent City, CA.
