We came specifically because this restaurant advertises itself as dog-friendly. We arrived with our two dogs and were told we would have to wait 55 minutes for an outdoor table, even though most of the patio tables were clearly empty, as shown in the photos. We were told they did not have staff to serve us, yet there was a server visibly working outside at the time.
We asked to speak with a manager, but instead of being connected to one, we were redirected back to the same host who initially turned us away. No effort was made to find a solution or explain the situation properly.
I understand staffing challenges, but refusing service while having multiple empty tables outside, especially at a restaurant that promotes itself as pet-friendly and even offers a dog menu, is frustrating and unacceptable. This felt poorly handled and dismissive.
Unfortunately, this experience did not match the welcoming image Lazy Dog promotes, and we left without being served.
