Bring your furry best friend to Bumble’s Backyard in Columbus, OH, for a fun-filled day of off-leash play and socializing that you’ll both love!
Lauryn and Evan have created a truly dog-centric spot where every detail shows they get what pups (and their people) need. Barktenders in bright vests greet you and your dog by name right away, using radios to announce arrivals and departures while a secure double gate (recently reinforced with a new loud audio that signals when the gate has been opened) keeps things safe and smooth. They’re not passive watchers—they actively engage with the dogs, helping keep play lively and intervening gently if someone gets overexcited, moving them to a smaller enclosed reset area instead with a Barktender sitting right there next to them providing a calming presence.
Your dog will thrive in the immaculate setup: faux grass for mud-free fun even on rainy days, poop-free play areas thanks to nonstop cleanup by staff and members, fresh water always refreshed, a handy leash wall at the entrance, seating with perfect sight lines everywhere, and conveniently placed trash/compost bins. Humans get a semi-enclosed heated area to relax while your pup runs, and every visit ends with a complimentary pup cup that becomes your dog’s favorite tradition.
Plus, the extras make it even better for dog lovers: dog birthday parties, pup-and-person yoga, book clubs, “Fetch Night,” and OSU Buckeye “tailgate” events turn a quick visit into a full outing.
Our first time was perfect—a Barktender spent a full 10 minutes in the temperament testing area walking us through everything: bags, hoses, trash spots, and the community rules that keep it all clean and friendly. Proof of vaccines (Bordetella, Rabies, Distemper) is required, and dogs over a year must be fixed—no kids under 14. It’s a safe, caring community for responsible dog parents. We’re hooked—your pup will be too!
