We do agility locally and it was really fun to watch the “real deal”
I've ways loved this coastal trail. I was pleasantly surprised to see many wildflowers still blooming north of the Kelly Street access. Someone is definitely maintaining the flowers and it was beautiful.

We did a short hike and the trails we used were very well maintained. Note that if you walk from town, your maps app will try to send you through the cemetery, where pets are not allowed. The other walking alternative is Bluff Street, which is lightly traveled but the cars go by fast and there are no sidewalks. So I would recommend driving to the main parking lot rather than walking, which is why I gave it a 4/5. Enjoy!

This beach is very isolated, yet just five miles from town. Near the road is a bit dirty but down by the water is clean and the beach seems to go on endlessly. Snoopy had a great time getting to run, after days of traveling and having to be on leash everywhere.

We had a wonderful drive today on the Avenue of the Giants. We were with a Mini Cooper meet, so there was no time for hiking but we had some nice rest stops to stretch our legs. Everyone should do this drive at least once!

There aren’t many places to eat in Ferndale, but this gets triple points for great food, friendly servers and a fantastic location on Main Steet in historic Ferndale. We will come back again!
We love walking the coastal trail from Pinos Point towards Asilomar. It’s part of the State Beach and they’ve recently renovated most of the trail. The views are lovely, there are lots of access points and you can see who’s coming from quite a distance. And this part of the trail is less crowded. Do keep your dog on a leash for this part. Enjoy!

We walk the coastal trail almost every morning, starting at Fisherman’s Wharf. It’s beautiful and almost all the dogs are well behaved. My reason for less than five bones is that this time of year there are a lot of foxtails on the edge of the trail. I wish they’d do a better job of weed whacking!

We visited the park in February when the hills were green and wildflowers were blooming. It was interesting to learn more about Jack London and there were two areas with dog friendly trails that we explored. A fun stop!

We rented a sailboat and had a great time. The staff were very friendly and helpful and it was fun to see San Diego from the water. We’d definitely do it again!
