So cute, so charming! I found it specifically for the great reviews and because they’re dog friendly. We based our whole road trip around places that were dog friendly. There was plenty of green space around for our corgi to go to the bathroom. They had a small continental breakfast every morning in the main office. Our cabin had a kitchenette; we had everything we needed (all types of utensils, coffee maker, stove, fridge, microwave). A grocery store was right down the street, which was super easy to get provisions.
Michelle took care of us and was working the whole time we were there. It was snowing the first day and a half- she set up a little fireplace heater for us, that made the place cozy and really warmed it up. Very nice and accommodating. This place reminded me of my Grandparent’s cabin in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan that we spent our childhood summers in. Super clean! Vintage. Nostalgic. Quiet. Just perfect! I loved it so much that I drew a sketch and left it as a thank-you. If we come back to Custer or know someone who will be, I would recommend The Chalet -- 10/10!
