The Hampton Inn is our go-to in Grande Prarie, AB. They welcome our dog, even with a little gift. We first visited with out dog in 2024 when we first got her. She was terrified by the sliding doors and the magic closet (elevator). Visiting 2 years later and she is a pro. She always tries to be first at the door to open it and jumps right in the elevator. The rooms are very clean. The breakfast is good with decent quality.
The best thing is the area. Our dog requires a 2-4 mile walk in the mornings and there are so many good walks near the hotel. No dog specific trails, but lots of good options from the nearby rural/industrial area to the airport grounds and even in along the commercial mall strip there are ample green spaces and sidewalks. We stayed for a week while visiting our daughter this year. It may cost a bit more, but the quiet clean rooms are worth it.

I may have to recalibrate my hotel ratings after staying here. Absolutely top notch. This is not your typical Best Western, but on par with better Hilton/Hampton Inn and Marriott properties. This seems to be a brand new building (2026). The room was spacious and extraordinarily clean. Our dog was welcomed and apparently most rooms are pet friendly. Although they don't want pets left unattended, ours stayed in the room while we had breakfast. Breakfast was the best we had on our trip. More options, and quality food. Even a dedicated gluten-free station, which my wife truly appreciated. My dog requires a long walk every morning (and night); the rural/commercial neighborhood provides lots of sidewalked boulevards and rural roads to explore. I'll definitely plan my trips to stay here again.
This was a nice big patk about 0.7 mile walk from the Quality Hotel. It made an excellent morning excursion for our obligatory walk. It was damp, rainy and windy when we were there, which didn't matter to the dog. It would be spectacular on a good day. On the trail to the park we saw a coyote.

The hotel is dated, but in the process of extensive updates, with new fixtures lined up in the lobby. However, the room was very clean and the cleaners were thorough. The room was adequate size and the dog bed fit between the 2 queens. Despite the proximity to the highway, it was quiet inside - opening the door to outside and the street noise is apparent. Lots of sidewalks and grassy areas to walk the dog and 2 nearby trails leading to dog parks. Beacon Hill dog park is about a 0.7 mile walk up a trail. The hotel staff were extremely friendly, including with our dog. Well behaved dogs are allowed to be left in the rooms unattended for short periods. Breakfast was high quality and plentiful. It was nice to have real dishes and cutlery. I highly recommend this hotel when in Fort Mac.

The hotel is dated, but clean. No sign of bugs. The rooms are a bit cramped, but ours was quiet and had direct access to outside and inside (which confused our dog). Breakfast was adequate. There are lots of places to walk a dog. The fabulous 5 bones (+) Taber Dog Park is only a few miles away. It is good value. Probably the best choice in Taber.

T Joe's is making me recalibrate my ratings. They didn't just accommodate my dog, they welcomed and celebrated her. It was a nice day. They have an outdoor patio with an adjoining fenced courtyard where dogs can run freely. They brought her a dish of water and a little cup of bacon bits. Food was good and good value. My wife had a steak, I had a grilled chicken salad, and our dog had a 1/2 lb burger with sweet potato fries. The salads were not just iceberg lettuce, they had spinach and other greens, which was nice. Service was excellent.
T Joe's will be our go-to in Cheyenne.

We needed a place that is dog friendly, quick, and has gluten free options. Old Stones has 2 outdoor seating areas, the front porch and some outdoor tables in the rear. Service and food was great. It was late in the day so they were out of ribs and brisket. My wife had pulled pork, I had the beef links. The dog had a burger (and about 1/2 of my beef links). Good value and we will stop by again.

It is s a tired old motel. Priced accordingly. Staff was fine. Was quiet. No critters. Basically the only option in Marbleton. There are more upscale options in Kemmerer and Pinedale.
