We stayed here to explore the Oulu area, as the city is only a short drive away and there are more green spaces around the hotel than you might find downtown. The big advantages for dog people are: no extra pet fee, dogs are allowed at the bar and restaurant and footpaths in small parks nearby. Apart from that, the standard is quite comparable to American motels but safer, with better breakfast and with a sauna.

We had a lovely time at this privately-owned guesthouse. All rooms are on the ground floor, guests with dogs have their room on a separate wing of the building and there are towels provided specifically for dogs. As the guesthouse is surrounded by garden there are no problems with finding green spots where dogs can do their business early and late in the day. The owners are quite friendly as well and the pet fee is generally very low compared to other places in Finland. We would certainly stay there again if we were to visit the Turku area with canine companions

This bistro has a menu that caters to all diets and also some options for canine companions such as meat patties and dog ice cream. Great option when in Riga with your pooch.

The food served is excellent and the menue has options for vegetarians as well. Dogs are welcome and there is complementary water served for them. As the place is quite popular with tourists and locals alike we recommend to make a reservation beforehand, especially during high season

We had a great time on board with our dog and the trips provide lovely scenic views of the Weser valley. There is also a small bistro/ café with table service on board. Multiple dogs are allowed on board as long as they are leashed (no muzzle needed) and can stay on the outside as well as the inside deck.
